Kadin Hanshaw is among the more versatile performers in the entire commonwealth of Kentucky. One might say he is “in the lead” to represent the “Big Ass Fans” Large School All-State Football Offense at RB/LB in 2025. It is still early. However, what this guy did as a sophomore was pretty dad-burn impressive and made him a serious candidate for the ’24 team even though he ended up getting edged out. Dee Parker from Whitely County was one of the few RBs in 4A to rush for close to 2,000 yards while contributing in all three phases of the game. Man Robinson was one of only three ’28’s to make either the small or large school all-state football teams. Rylan Gillion came up big at (perhaps) the biggest game of the year. Covington Catholic, fresh off an improbable win over Kentucky’s very best football team at the high school level, rolled into Frankfort, Kentucky looking for its second road-upset of the playoffs. What they found was a mighty cool customer in Rylan Gillion. Gillion’s production may have accounted for the 14-10 margin in the Flyers’ favor. Now, it is on to Lexington where Franklin County will play a talented Paducah Tilghman team. Enjoy the feature and let’s keep it cool out there Kentucky!

His high school career has been everything we thought it would be and he would make an excellent “take” for a small college program looking to take on a next-level QB with all the skills. I know it seems this particular feature has promoted quite a few Sayre Spartans. We can assure you it isn’t intended. It is just hard to ignore a program which has just polished off a perfect regular season at 10-0 headed into the Class A KHSAA playoffs. Why is that so hard to ignore? How about because there are only seven (7) such records among the 223-programs playing football across the commonwealth and Sayre is the only perfect regular season in its classification.
