Some call him “Mario.” Some just call him “Rio.” All call him special. Litmer is the QB for one of the most high profile programs in Kentucky 5A or at any classification if we are being honest. Litmer is 6’0,” weighs 176-pounds and, at only 16-years of age, completed over 68% of his passing attempts his junior season and finished with a QBR of 128.1. Highlands won 11-games in ’24, made the semis, and have a vital piece back for another run in ’25. Who knows how far this “Mr. Football” candidate can take them.

Friday Night Fletch.

The premier edge defender in KY is our @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week @bigassfans, @KyHighFootball, @hardesty_baron, @youareathlete, @BE_Chargers, @BECoachKendrick

Baron Hardesty is putting up prodigious numbers, particularly in the weight room. He is also impressing all the right people. This is a prospect who we could see signing with any team at virtually any level of competition. If this kid can’t catch on with an FBS level team, then the NIL and transfer portal has rendered the prospect unattainable. Enjoy this feature and remember to #SavorTheFlavor.

Sometimes we get excited about an article and decide to publish it early. This next article is one which usually runs on Wednesdays but we are running it on Tuesday afternoon. Enjoy this look at a freshman linebacker so good he made the Big Ass Fans, Large School All-State defense this season. No telling what the future holds for this prospect. Brady Atwell is firmly in the hunt for Kentucky’s “Mr. Football.” His uncle won the distinction in 1999 and playing at a level (Class A) which hasn’t boaster too many winners. Brady has a tough road to haul with Beechwood coming to Lexington seeking the same distinction as the Catholic club. Enjoy this feature and remember to both stop and smell the roses and #SavorTheFlavor.

Braxton Jennings from Paul Blazer High is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week @Tomcat_football, @Brax_Jennings, @bigassfans, @sfitz_840whas, @840WHAS, @KyHighFootball

Braxton Jennings is among the highest regarded and recruited ’25 prospects in the KHSAA. He is also among its better kept secrets. Jennings has led his Tomcats to a 9-1 mark, entering the 4A playoffs, and Ashland has yet to lose a game to a Kentucky high school on the year. What will they do in these upcoming playoffs? Well I can tell you this, they will be heard from, and so will Mr. Jennings.

In all of the excitement this year surrounding Boyle County’s thirty some-odd straight game winning streak, the Franklin Flyers being 10-0, and the Blue Tornado of Paducah finishing 10-0 and blowing out pretty much ever team it has played, we have sort of overlooked how good of a football team Ashland Blazer is. We have sone advice for 4A, best not overlook these guys going forward. You have been warned.

We don’t always recognize place-kickers with the frequency the position is due. So many times these place kickers win the game for the team and rarely get any kudos. This past Friday night, Kentucky Country Day beat the top-ranked 1A team in Campbellsville. The margin? Two PATs converted by today’s Protein-packed Performance, Colt Mizuguchi. Enjoy this feature and remember to both stop and smell the roses and #SavorTheFlavor.

Armani Gregg is listed as a QB on the roster and it is where it appears he principally plays. He didn’t look like a QB running up and down the field again t the Scott Eagles this past weekend. Enjoy this look at one of the better prospects in Northern Kentucky. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor.

Jayden Woods has his team sitting 5-1 with a tough remaining stretch to get to 8-1 entering the playoffs. Woods is tearing it up for the Tigers and gained 173-yards on the ground last weekend against a tough McCreary Central “Raiders” squad. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor.
