We highlight two from each class, or more,… We are coming down to the end of the regular season and teams are jockeying for playoff position, and for some, inclusion. Our very own “Friday Night Fletch,” the resident middle and high school football expert in Kentucky breaks down the compelling […]

Javen Huddleston, ’24 RB from BGHS, will figure prominently in the coming ‘Mr. Football’ race… @JavenH06 @DeuceBailey1 @Erik_Losey @_CoachHeck @QuadrupleCov859 @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @kyhighs @HLPreps @KyHighFootball

If you are picking early favorites for next season’s ‘Mr. Football,’ this guy here would seem as safe a bet as any. He is very versatile, running for over a thousand yards in 13-games and catching nearly 30-footballs swinging out of the backfield. Enjoy the feature. HB.

‘The Deuce is Loose’ and making all the right decisions… @Deucebailey1 @QBHitList @minguabeefjerky @kyhighs @HLpreps @PrepSpin @1776Bank @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball

Deuce Bailey is among the very best dual threat QB’s in all of the land, and we aren’t just talking about Kentucky. He has good size, tremendous athleticism, a fine, deft, and accurate arm, and even a 3.0 GPA. Yessir, that is called having all the tools. What will Deuce do against Boyle County this coming Friday? If the Purples want to stay in the ball game, the team better find a way to turn the Deuce loose out on that field and under the home field lights. Enjoy the feature. HB.

@H_nott17 (Hudson Nottmeier, ’26) from @PurplesFootball is well positioned heading into his freshman campaign. @BGHSPurplesNews @BgPurplesAth @BgBadBoyz @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @MaxPreps @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

As we continue to monitor our ’26s entering the Fall of their freshman seasons, today we feature a WR about whom many are raving. Hudson Nottmeier looks to have the total package, at least if you consult one of the nation’s premier recruiting and ranking services. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Middle School Spotlight: Does @MalikiCoburn24 see the field early for @PurplesFootball? @BGJHSFootball @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @MaxPreps @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

Hard to ever forecast a freshman getting much Friday Night run. This is even more true where the freshman in question is joining the roster of one of the most prestigious high school programs at the 5A level. Not every freshman comes in put together like Malik Coburn if we are being honest. Enjoy the feature. HB.

We enjoy featuring premier football players around Kentucky in the areas where Independence Bank provides its tremendous array of financial products and services. Bowling Green is a market of which we never get enough. Today we feature one of Kentucky’s very best in Jeremiah Lightfoot to go along with one of Independence Bank’s very best branches named for where it sits on “Nashville Road.” Enjoy the feature. HB.

@TylerMo21734318 (Tyler Moore), Class of ’22 from @PurplesFootball is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @CoachSpader

High School football has always had undersized, over-achievers glorified for what they can contribute to their high school football teams in front of the hometown fans. Tyler Moore is a slightly undersized kid, frame-wise, for where the Purple play him but his production is nothing short of D-1. This kid would be a brilliant pick-up for quite a few in-Kentucky, college programs. He’s our kind of guy because he gets the absolute most out of every gift the good Lord game him. This is what makes him our Revolutionary Player of the Week. Congratulations!

Class of 2022, @bridger_knee, is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is a top-flight, 2022 defensive end who helped lead the Purples to the 5A State Title, last season when Bowling Green defeated the always tough bunch from Owensboro Senior High. This feature is brought to you weekly by the folks over at Independence Bank. Go on by and see our friends and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding services and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry.
