Demauriah Brown from Danville High has just completed a sophomore football season which would have landed hm on our sophomore all-state football team were we still compiling one. As it is, his performance should net consideration for him for the AP team, whose nominations should open any time. Enjoy this feature about this very fine sophomore RB/DB/Ath and don’t forget to #Savortheflavor. HB
Turning our attention squarely on 24’s, like most college programs are in the midst of doing, we focus on one of WK’s best at the DE/DL position. His secondary position is OG and his playing there collegiately is not completely out of the question. This guy led 3A in sacks and was in the top-15 commonwealth-wide regardless of classification. Enjoy this feature about this very fine junior and don’t forget to #Savortheflavor. FL
We just attended the Nashville AA Bowl at Lipscomb Academy on the campus of David Lipscomb. One of the better performances on the day was one which may have gone unnoticed to anyone without a “trained eye.” Anthony Hall, from Cadiz, Kentucky, was exceptional at long snapper. Tyshon Hutson had a fine year for the Carroll County High Panthers. He helped lead them to a 7-5 mark and Ade All-District at his Defensive Tackle post. We don’t know exactly what lies ahead for the young football star but we do know he has some beef jerky in his future. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to take the time to #savortheflavor. HB.
This guy won this award back in March of ’22. It was largely owing to the performance he rendered over his sophomore season. Well, he took it up a notch over his junior year and quite impressively. Sometimes we award this more than once to a single player. This is one of those times. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to take the time to #savortheflavor. HB.
We have awarded our Protein-packed Performers of the Week all season long. It was time to honor the Protein-packed Performer of the ’22 Football season. We have selected Blake Birchfield, ’23 RB, from out of all the honorees we have rewarded this season. Enjoy the feature and don’t forget to #Savortheflavor. HB.
It is awe-inspiring when you consider all the ways the Bombers football team in ’22 leaned on Jerrico Wilson. Sure the program suffered through a bad season but Wilson was dynamic and spectacular. Kade Elam has killed it all year for his undefeated Corbin Redounds. Coming into the Championship in 4A, they have been the team discounted and overlooked all year, in spite of going 14-0 and having the highest RPI in the 4A classification. We thought it would be a good idea to award Elam a box of protein goodness to fortify him for the final push toward the Title. Has there been a better RB in the KHSAA over the past several years than Senior, Blake Birchfield. Not for our money! Birchfield has his Panthers knocking on the door of yet another title. We thought it would be a good idea to award him a box of protein goodness to fortify him for the journey. Cortez Stone was the best RB in Kentucky as a freshman among ’25’s in our opinion. He hasn’t slumped any this sophomore season either. In round two he carried his team to a convincing victory. How much farther can he carry the Yellow Jackets? Don’t know, that road through Russellville and Logan County High is a killer.
