Remember when the Patriots of White House Heritage were the “laughing stock” of Region 5-4A? Well, those days appear long gone as the Patriots are in the playoffs for the first time since 2015 and traveling to Lexington, Tennessee for a first round game in which they have an excellent chance of advancing. Should they advance, they would get Springfield in the second round for a rematch of a game which Springfield won 42-41 earlier this season. QB Will Wilson has been a key cog to his team’s success. Well, it’s Springfield vs. Greenbrier week, and Springfield High School’s Nate Kendrick (2020, NG) is the Stewart Williams Robertson County Player of the Week!

If you don’t know what kind of football program they have going at Springfield High School, then you don’t know enough about high school football to read this magazine. Well, the mighty Yellow-Jackets will get it on tonight against its most hated, Cross-County rival, Greenbrier. Nate Kendrick is a guy who could figure prominently into the outcome on both the defensive and offensive sides of the football. He’s a 6-0, 249 pound defensive lineman principally who has been getting used as a lead blocker from out of the backfield with more frequency as the season as worn along.
