When the Springfield Yellow Jackets dropped the opener 37-7 to Wilson Central, folks around Springfield got a little nervous. After all, the rural, Robertson County High School is accustomed to making Championship runs much more than struggling to win ball games especially since calling its favorite son, Dustin Wilson, home to lead the Jackets’ fortunes.

Since the opening, the Jackets have looked like the Class 4A contender many of us have come to expect. Tres Haley’s play at LG is a major reason why. He has been punishing against the opponents three techniques and climbs well to cover up second level defenders too.

Haley, who doubles as a DT but is mainly thought of as an interior offensive lineman has been both a steady and dependable stalwart along the Jacket offensive front so far this season. Haley is 6-0 and weighs in at around 285-pounds. Haley is a Class of 2021 prospect.

Congratulations, to Tres Haley of Springfield, Tennessee for being selected the Stewart Williams Furniture Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week. Join us, next week, as we anoint a new recipient.
