Elite football programs execute in all three phases of football. We feature plenty of offensive and defensive players. We tend to feature kickers and punters. We sometimes forget about the snappers and the holders. Today, we feature a long-snapper from LCA who is a man’s man. Shake his hand and make this discovery. He is instrumental to the Eagles’ on-field success. Enjoy this feature and remember to #SavorTheFlavor.

Slow Motion Replay: Remembering Garnis Martin of the Bardstown High School Tigers @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @KyHighFootball, @BardstownFootb1

February 2, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Phillip Haywood rewrote the Kentucky wins standard for High School coaching. Bardstown’s Garnis Martin was the first coach to 250-wins, then Walter Brugh surpassed the “Martin standard” at Paintsville in 1993. Joe Jaggers surpassed Brugh in 1997 then Schneider took over in 2005 and Dudley Hilton tied Schneider in 2010. The next year Phillip Haywood took over the top post and so on and so forth. Enjoy this ride on the “Way Back” machine.

There are some really outstanding freshmen football players who got a ton of reps during the ’24 season. There was even a ’28 kid who got 13-games of run behind the best OL unit in Kentucky at any classification. LCA’s Matthew Montgomery is a 6’0,” 230-pound guy with a 275-pound bench, a 405-pound squat, and a penchant for flattening defenders unfortunate enough to get in his pulling trajectory on traps and pulls. Is this guy the next Anthony Johns? Could be! Enjoy the article.

Aiden Jesse is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week @CoachAtchley @ColonelFootball @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @840WHAS @KyHighFootball

January 22, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Aiden Jesse is putting up prodigious numbers, particularly for a team which has struggled as mightily as have the Colonels. Jesse is also impressing the right people as recruiting interest in him is heightening. This is a prospect who we could see signing with any team at virtually any level of competition. If this kid can’t catch on with a college program, then the NIL and transfer portal has rendered that prospect unattainable. Enjoy this feature and remember to #SavorTheFlavor.

Malik Coburn is among the very best DEs in Kentucky in the ’26 class. Matter of fact, he is among ’26’s very best prospects at any position. What makes him so great? Wouldn’t you like to know? We will strike a deal with you. Read this article and we will tell you. Enjoy the feature.

Some call him “Mario.” Some just call him “Rio.” All call him special. Litmer is the QB for one of the most high profile programs in Kentucky 5A or at any classification if we are being honest. Litmer is 6’0,” weighs 176-pounds and, at only 16-years of age, completed over 68% of his passing attempts his junior season and finished with a QBR of 128.1. Highlands won 11-games in ’24, made the semis, and have a vital piece back for another run in ’25. Who knows how far this “Mr. Football” candidate can take them.

Baron Hardesty is putting up prodigious numbers, particularly in the weight room. He is also impressing all the right people. This is a prospect who we could see signing with any team at virtually any level of competition. If this kid can’t catch on with an FBS level team, then the NIL and transfer portal has rendered the prospect unattainable. Enjoy this feature and remember to #SavorTheFlavor.

Brady Atwell is firmly in the hunt for Kentucky’s “Mr. Football.” His uncle won the distinction in 1999 and playing at a level (Class A) which hasn’t boaster too many winners. Brady has a tough road to haul with Beechwood coming to Lexington seeking the same distinction as the Catholic club. Enjoy this feature and remember to both stop and smell the roses and #SavorTheFlavor.
