’26 Athlete set to explode on a commonwealth-wide stage this Fall
Not all 1A football teams across Kentucky are similarly situated. We cover football programs from 1-6A and can promise we can literally show you rosters which defy classification. Raceland would be among the rosters you would never guess is a 1A school. The Rams routinely compete at the highest level in its classification and the secret to their success is fielding athletes like today’s recipient. Bryson Rowley played on a roster heavily laden with senior talent in ’23, though himself only a sophomore, and helped guide the Rams to a Championship game appearance against Pikeville. The Rams will have to reload in ’24, but Rowley’s still active.

Raceland, KY: Migua Beef Jerky uses Enviro-Pac CHU-2000 equipment to cook its meat to USDA required levels for both moist or dry operation. Mingua Beef Jerky wants you to become one of its many satisfied customers by sampling its quality hand sliced, all natural beef jerky. We know you’ll love it and come back for more, again and again.
Ronnie Mingua began experimenting with making beef jerky back in the 1990s. He shared his efforts with neighbors and friends, soon realizing he had come up with something different and superior to all other beef jerkies on the market. From these humble beginnings, Mingua Beef Jerky got its start.
Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.
Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed Performer, Bryson Rowley, ’26 ATH from Raceland High School in Raceland, Kentucky.
It is hard to find the field as a sophomore playing on any championship caliber roster throughout Kentucky. This is true at 1A. This is true at 6A. The size of the school’s enrollment, these days, is virtually meaningless.
The Raceland Rams had a very good team in ’23. Coach Michael Salmons has proven you can expect as much from his staff and him each and every year.
Raceland won 11-games. Raceland dropped its opener to 4A contender, Ashland-Blazer by one score, beat 4A Letcher County, beat defending champion Pikeville on September 8, smoked Hazard and Paris, before dropping the title game to the same Pikeville team on December 1 in Lexington.
In other words, the Rams were right formidable. So was its sophomore, two-way player and athlete, Bryson Rowley.
Rowley caught 38-passes for nearly 400-yards and five scores on offense. He also averaged 16-yards a carry.
Defensively, Rowley only logged 11-tackles. However, Rowley also picked three passes, returned one of the three to the house for a “pick-six,” and registered 37-IRNYs.
Rowley 6’0,” and weighs 175, well put together pounds. Rowley is roundly considered among the top five or so “Athletes” playing football at any classification across the commonwealth’s ’26 graduating class.
We believe we are witnessing the flowering of a division-one, college football player. He better keep up the hard work. Now, the grind begins for real.
Looks to us like this cat could use a shot of protein. We know just the group to satisfy this need.
Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from the competition. Remember, our product is superior and one of a kind; just like Raceland High’s, Bryson Rowley.
This is Friday Night Fletch reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridiron and reminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE. Don’t forget to SAVOR THE FLAVOR!
