BO-dacious; Belfry’s big-time OG! @wolford_bo, @BelfryFootball1, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @WYMT, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee

Bo Wolford is a bodacious, fine tactician at the offensive line slot. That is one heck of a compliment. He is also the KHSAA’s best interior guy blocking along any front competing at the high school level. We have followed this guy for years. Our admiration for him just continues to grow. Last year, as a junior, Bo-Bo was a first team All-Stater on the Big Ass Fans Small School team and a 2nd teamer on the Courier Journal squad. We believe he is the KHSAA’s best player at the position even though he is likely to slide out to tackle and play there this coming season. Enjoy this feature about one of our favorite players.

Mikey Likes It! Mikey Hager from Pikeville High loves football and the game is loving him @hagermikey0, @PikevilleHSFB, @Kadeqb9, @CoachPDeCapito, @bbubna, @MITFootball, @khsaafootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee

Mikey Hager was going along just fine through six (6) games a year ago when he was lost for the season. All you have to do to see the year he was putting together is look and see what he did to Lexington Christian Academy, routinely among the better rosters in the KHSAA. Against the Eagles, Hager caught nine (9) passes for 168-yards receiving and two (2) TDs. Hager averaged 18-yards a reception, scoring a TD about every third catch through the six games in which he got action. With 15-tackles 1-TFL, and an INT in those same six (6) games, one can see this is a two-way guy who could play either side in college. Enjoy this feature.

KPGFootball’s preseason, top-teams in each classification @LasatersCoffee, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

July 13, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

We went around and evaluated each classification and determined, preseason, just who we thought the teams to beat were in each. We studied rosters, coaching staffs, considered transfers, and looked at personnel at all three phases of the game. We believe these teams, in these six linked articles, are the contenders. Just take your little “clicky-thing” and point it at one of the classifications and double-click to the article.

Ke’Avian Massey, DL/0L, Readying to explode onto the scene in this his senior season @keavian_massey, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @jax_arnett, @glasgowdawgs

Ke’Avian Massey is a specimen. By that, we mean you won’t see too many high school linemen put together any better than his 6’3,” 245-pound frame. Massey made his all-region team a year ago on defense and has plenty of courtiers coming into the senior campaign. Massey had five sacks in ’24. Look for that number to double. Enjoy this look at a player who personifies the reason Glasgow is generally and consistently in the title race at its classification of competition.

Chase Bell (’28 QB) from South Warren is this week’s Kentucky Comfort Creator from @bigassfans @minguabeefjerky, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball, @SouthWarrenFB, @IamChaseBell15

July 11, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Chase Bell and Camden Page look to battle it out preseason for the QB-slot at South Warren vacated by Bryce Button’s graduation. South Warren is coming off a 12-2 season where it was arguably the second best team in 5A in ’24. Where will they figure into the 6A title chase? Well, we don’t know. We would suppose they will go as far as either Page or Bell carries them. Chase Bell is a ’28 guy with an incredible frame and athleticism so impressive Maryland has already offered. Bell’s frame and growth potential are carrying the day for him as he is our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator this week. Let’s keep it cool out there KY.

Storm Warning, with nothing left but some Sevens throws, two scrimmages, and the opener what should we see from the Storm in ’25? @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

It is that time of year. We are all coming out of the “Dead Period” and we want to know how our hometown, high school football team is likely to fare in the coming season? We have taken an in-depth look into one of our favorite teams, Hopkins County Central, and have attempted to forecast that very thing. Enjoy this breakdown of the Storm’s team and upcoming season. Let’s brace for the glorious season ahead enjoying this country’s greatest and most significant export.

Hulking TE from North-Hopkins (Madisonville), Jayden Travis is our Protein-packed Performer of the Week @Jayden_travis87 @markezz_25, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @Maroon_FB_MNHHS, @price_kadence

It is easy to get caught up in the Markezz Hightower fan fare. Hightower is a fantastic ball player, an all state running-back, and coming off a near 1,800- total yards season with 21-TDs scored running and receiving. That aside, Hightower isn’t running a one-man band over there at North. Jayden Travis is a hulking TE with good speed, excellent power numbers, a fine GPA, and a 280-pound power clean evidencing tremendous explosion. Travis is coming off a 25-reception season himself and that is darn-fine playing on a run first team at the TE slot. This guy will field some offers in short order. If he has the kind of season in ’25 he had in ’24, look out 5A because the Maroons will be looking to improve drastically over the 7-4 it posted in ’24. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to pick up some world famous jerky products from Mingua Beef Jerky and “SavorTheFlavor.”

There was a movie released by Disney in 1994 entitled “Angels in the Outfield.” It was a remake of a 1951 film of the same name. The remake starred Danny Glover, Tony Danza, and Christopher Lloyd and resulted in two (2), made for TV sequels. The movie was about a young child, in foster care, sarcastically told his family would reunite “when the Angels win the pennant” by his newly widowed father. Roger, the young boy who is the movie’s protagonist, prays for such and a group of angels appeared to help the team. At the end of the day, it was explained that while the “Angels in the outfield” helped the team surge to the top of the division, the “Angels” could not help the team win a title or championship. Well, Lincoln County looks to have gotten some Angelic assistance of its own in a 6’3,” 335-pound OL transfer from Southwestern with the surname of Flores. There are no heavenly imposed limitations on his assistance. Enjoy the feature.

The ‘White Rhino’ hoping to hit the lineup for St. Xavier sooner rather than later @JaxonFrench29, @coacharichman, @Trent_Steelman, @CoachKWallace, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

We are just a few days from coming out of the abyss we affectionately know as “The Dead Period.” The season lies in wait for us on the other side. One thing we do offseason is inform readers about some of the stars coming out of middle school who figure to contribute right off the bat. Jaxon French is certainly a ’29 we could see working himself into the lineup early. He is 6’3,” 200-pounds and clips off 40-yards in the 4.5s. He is so good in the weight room he is called the “Iron Giant.” He is such a rarity as an athlete he is also nicknamed the “White Rhino.” Regardless of what you call him, if you’re calling football games at St. Xavier this Fall, you will be calling out his name sooner or later. Enjoy the feature.

Dayton Kron is the Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @DaytonKron1, @BECoachKendrick, @BE_Chargers, @N_W_Sports, @khsaafootball, @bigassfans, @minguabeefjerky, @KyHighFootball

July 4, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Dayton Kron is a talented kid who looks to land at the next level easily. Kron is being courted heavily by Hanover, Hampton-Syndney, and DePauw University, among others. One secret to his success is that the 6’1,” 225-pounder can play DE or can long snap. That type versatility is extremely important for a small college program who may find offering Kron is a “ton of bang for its buck.” In any event, Kron is performing at a very high level for a team which plays in Kentucky’s largest competitive classification. Let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky, and allow us to help you out in that regard.
