Sometimes individual performances give rise to promise and expectation for the future even where it came in a blowout victory against a pretty stout opponent. This past weekend the Trigg County Wildcats put it all over Fulton County 41-12 and several Wildcats had really big performances. Coach Curtis Higgins’s ‘Cats improved to 4-6 and are hoping to travel to Owensboro and (perhaps) surprise an Aces team very much considered a “title contender” at the 2A level. Zamarrion Broussard had another strong night and turned in a multi-TD scoring effort. These kids getting all these valuable live game reps will pay off before too much longer and Broussard coming up, big-time, in pivotal moments will too. It just goes to show, one has to be omnipresently prepared, ready. This week our jacket patch goes to the junior WR/DB/Athlete who played his butt off in a pivotal moment, giving his team victory. He has been expected this year to be prepared, to be ready, and to perform and, thus far, he hasn’t disappointed. Enjoy this look at Zamarrion Broussard who is our Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company All-State Player of the Week and another patch-recipient as we brace for the ’26 season’s “second season.”
