Middle School Spotlight: @dylanpeck70 protecting the QB’s ‘blind spot.’ @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball @FootballJCHS

If I were to draw a picture of what a middle school, rising high school offensive tackle should appear, I would probably be drawing a picture of Dylan peck. He his long, lean, has plus length, good feet, and is athletic for a big man at his stage of development. Enjoy this look at one of the premier OL or DL (for that matter) in the class of ’26 commonwealth-wide. Enjoy the feature. HB.

@clark_kissick from @WoodfordFBall looks to be another “No-Douter” to us. He also looks to have a very bright future… @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

It is not every day you have rising ninth-grade “Bigs” who appear destined to challenge for early playing time. Then again, not every program has them coming out of MS 6-3, 290, highly decorated at the level of play the player is leaving, and already being followed on Twitter by college programs intent on recruiting the young player in the “not too distant” future. Enjoy this look at an OL who figures to be among the best along the front in his high school graduating class (’25). HB.

@LCAKYEagles “Big Bear” (@Beast55LCA2022, Anthony Johns) is swelled up and looking more beastly than ever (feature photo credit: Alicia Quenemoen)….

We used to call him “Big Bear” when covering him for Team Kentucky while he was in Middle School. He asked us not to so reference him that way so we quit. Now that he has grown into a literal grizzly, he has given us the go ahead to call him that once more. We are thrilled. He is one of the digital magazine’s very favorite players. Read why. HB.

Uriah Virzi, Far From Normal

February 3, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

Uriah Virzi is a championship wrestler, a Regional Player of the Year in the KYMSFA, a Team Kentucky player, and a MS All-Stater. What he isn’t is a normal middle school football player or even a normal middle schooler. Most players at his level of development, and who have worked as hard as he, have left normalcy long ago. Enjoy the feature. HB.
