By now everybody across Tennessee knows about the Groves kid who is snatching up “Power 5” offers every time one glances his direction. Even with the best WR in Tennessee’s prospect class of 2022, the East Robertson Indians only finished 3rd in its district, went 5-6, and bowed out of the TSSAA playoffs in the first-round, losing to Bledsoe, 28-6.

That being said, the Groves kid isn’t the only young player about whom to get excited. Bryce Brown, who just finished his junior year, had a solid season, particularly for someone aligned at NG defensively. Brown collected 40 total hits, 4 tackles for loss, and 4 QB sacks to go along with solid play, upfront offensively, for the two-way standout.

Bryce is 6-3 and weighs in at 280-pounds. Size and frame like his are hard to offset on the high school level and often find their way onto college rosters. Will he find his way on a college roster? At some level, we would have to think so.

Congratulations to NG, Bryce Brown (2021) of East Robertson High School in Cross Plains, Tennessee, for being selected the Stewart Williams Furniture Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week. Join us, next week, as we anoint a new recipient.
