There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Nashville Road

Today we honor ’22 DL, Jeremiah Lightfoot, from Bowling Green, Kentucky’s Bowling Green (Senior) High School. Lightfoot is a hulking 6-2, 300-pounder who has signed to play for Eastern Kentucky University and forecasts to play along the interior defensive front.

Lightfoot’s Bowling Green (Senior) High  is very close to three Bowling Green branches. One of the branches, Nashville Road (pictured) is one of our very favorites and is located on 2415 Nashville Road.

There are two (2) other Bowling Green Branches. Freedom Square is on 1950 Scottsville Road and a third branch is on on 877 Fairview Avenue

Get on by the Bowling Green Branches today and see our friends. Learn why Independence Bank‘s products, people, and services have started a revolution in the Kentucky banking industry.

Jeremiah Lightfoot would be the first to tell you “when you’re hot, you’re hot.” Well, Lightfoot has been smoking.

Lightfoot

Lightfoot had 71-tackles with 17 TFLs, 4 QB-sacks, a FF, a FR, and an INT over his twelve games of action in ’21. He was courted and now has signed to join Coach Walt Wells’ incoming class of Colonels checking into one of Kentucky’s more prestigious Division I football programs at EKU.

Just a week ago, Lightfoot was selected First Team All-State by the Coaches in Kentucky. The Coaches Team, in accordance with tradition, was first published in one of the commonwealth’s most widely circulated periodicals, the Courier-Journal.

Coach Wells commented recently on his new signee. “Jeremiah will be a nose tackle for us,” Wells said in a news release. “He has good athleticism and won a state championship at Bowling Green High School in 2020 and was a really good player for that program.”

Yessir, and now Lightfoot has been recognized by one of Kentucky’s most reputable and prestigious financial institutions. Like we said initially, “when you’re hot, you’re hot!” Right Jeremiah?

Congratulations to Jeremiah Lightfoot for his Revolutionary Play which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
