’26 OL has the tools to succeed
Cody Gibson is framed out like you want them if you are recruiting OL for your college roster. Gibson is 6’3,” weighs 255 with room for plenty more heft, bench presses close to three-bills (300 pounds), and can power clean 225. Factor in his 3.4 GPA and let’s get this kid signed already. There are plenty of schools circling Gibson and he seems to have “next level” written all over him. First, the rising senior would like to take the Cardinals to the next level as they were 5-7 a year ago but return plenty of talent to greatly improve on that record.

Winchester, KY: George Rogers Clark from Winchester, Kentucky plays “Big Boy” football. When you compete in the 6A classification in Kentucky, it will require you enlist the help of some mighty “Big Boys.”

Big Boys are built in the offseason weight training and conditioning program. Don’t worry, the Cardinals have been building quite a few.
Cody Gibson certainly fits that bill. Gibson is a ’26 prospect with a 3.4 GPA. He lists as an OL/DL but most players at the 6A level are one-platoon guys. Gibson is primarily an OL, maybe even an OT.
Offensive tackle in the college ranks requires height, length, strength, intelligence, power, and explosion. Good thing Gibson has the entire laundry list of those attributes.
Gibson played in all 12 of GRC’s games a year ago. This coming year, his senior season, he figures to be similarly utilized though we can’t rule out his getting some run along the defensive front.
In addition to football and powerlifting, Gibson is a wrestler…

Gibson is 6’3,” and weighs 255-pounds. In addition to football and powerlifting, Gibson is a wrestler which helps him understand principles like leverage, strength, power, and explosion.
Gibson has a 295-pound bench press and a 225-pound power clean. What he has even more important than that is a nasty disposition and quite the work ethic.
It has been our professional experience those are the attributes which garner next-level, prolonged success. Then again, what the heck do we know?
