Big Ass Fans from Lexington, Kentucky has a simple corporate goal. The company is “creating a more comfortable world,” one fan at a time.

The logo is the rear of a donkey (Fanny) swishing its tail back and forth. The trademarked logo is among Kentucky’s more celebrated and well known corporate identities across the commonwealth and has come to represent commitment to quality, cutting-edge innovation, and product reliability.

This week our feature is about Simon “Tank” Felker from Nicholasville, KY’s West Jessamine High School. Felker is a 6’0,” 280-pound immovable, A-Gap, object who is doing a fine job calling protection, run-blocking assignments, identifying blitzes and fronts, and leading his Colts to an 8-0 start with two winnable games remaining (Madison Southern & Tates Creek). Felker’s excellent training together with his undeniable talent, strength, frame, and athleticism make him an attraction hard to overlook on any roster.

Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product. Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator. These days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?

Fanny is among the better known, better recognized, and more celebrated corporate logos in the world

Jumpin’ Jack Flash

Felker is willing to do whatever his coaching staff and teammates need. He gives of his talent and ability freely for the betterment and enrichment of the team and not necessarily for himself which is a refreshing attribute to see in a young football star.

We believe Felker may be well on his way to making an All-State football team before much longer in his playing career. We talk about him a lot around our offices and his performance is meriting the attention.

This is exactly how great high school programs, like West Jessamine High in Nicholasville, are built and maintained. The great programs are constructed from the ground up, just like great businesses, just like Big Ass Fans.

West Jessamine (8-0) is among the hottest teams playing 5A football in the KHSAA!

Nicholasville, KY: They call Simon Felker, “Tank.” At 6’0,” 280-pounds with a 485-pound squat and a 550-pound deadlift that seems an entirely appropriate Nomme de Guerre.

Felker is a ’29 prospect who played a ton as a freshman. His team is at the top if 5A’s seventh (7th) district and stands at 8-0 with two games remaining against a 5-3 Madison Southern team and a 1-7 Tates Creek squad (Lexington 6A).

Scott Marsh, HFC

West Jessamine figures to be favored in both games. If there has ever been a time where the Colts could finish off a 10-0 regular season campaign, this seems the year.

West Jessamine was pretty dad-burn good in 2025 if memory serves. The Colts were 9-4 in ’25 losing to finalist Pulaski County in the regional championship game.

Scott Marsh is looking to improve on last year’s performance. Linemen like Felker figure to be a big help.

Felker is 6’0,” and weighs 280-pounds. Felker is hard to dig out of the A-Gap as he squats 485-pounds and deadlifts a cool 550. That 3.7 GPA is an important statistic for any kid who aligns across an offensive front at center.

Felker has his team sitting at 8-0 and ranked No. 31 in the KHSAA (All-Classes) according to MaxPreps. The Colts have turned in some really fine work this season is getting to its present 8-0.

That win over Lafayette (Lexington 6A, 7-1, ranked No. 6 in this week’s RPI), 24-9 on September 18th, should give one an indication of the type of ball club we are featuring this week. This team is hitting on all cylinders. The Tank is rolling.

The Colts are looking to get to the semis or beyond this year. Should they accomplish the feat, it will be the first time in program history the team has ever gotten to the semis or won more than 9-games in any single season.

Seems entirely reachable, entirely plausible to us. Go get ’em Felker!
