West Jessamine is cooking with grease and their big, impressive, offensive front has a lot to do with the 8-0 start and the 2-0 District 7 mark so far (as of October 23, 2026). There are two regular season games remaining, Madison Southern and 6A, Tates Creek (Lexington 6A) and both of them are games where West Jessamine figures to be (somewhat) heavily favored. Will the Colts pop a 10-0 heading into the playoffs? They will if their “Tank,” Simon Felker, has anything to say about it. Felker is a 6’0,” 280 pound C/G who squats nearly a quarter ton and deadlifts a cool 550-pounds. Felker is also our “Big Ass Fans,” Weekly Kentucky Comfort Creator. Enjoy the feature.

Today we decided to spotlight a freshman footballer who was a middle school star and who is looking to find the field under the “Friday Night Lights” sooner rather than later. This time, one of our most devoted sponsors, Big Ass Fans, decided it wanted in on the fun of looking at player whose tomorrows look brighter than their todays. We feature a freshman who is a two-way trenchman with a good frame and tremendous work ethic and length. He doesn’t pout. He doesn’t hang his head about where he is being slotted. He just does his job. Those are attributes which will make him a star in the game of football across our great commonwealth. Big Ass Fans out of Lexington, Kentucky is one of our most prized and beneficial relationships in the corporate world. This article is a regularly appearing, Friday serial similar to some of the sponsored content we have before published here. Big Ass Fans has committed itself to quality more than the mere size of its industrial sized fans. The product is backed by commitment to performance, reliability, and innovation which has been a driving force behind the company in the twenty or more years it has existed. Enjoy this feature.

There are usually plenty of skill guys around a 6A program. That is the benefit of having such large enrollments in a sparsely populated state or commonwealth like Kentucky. The 6A programs which thrive are the programs which can produce and develop big men like Alex Schuster. When you have an All-State QB like Zane Johnson, the last thing a program needs is to permit easy access to him right up the A-Gap. So Trinity, the standard for 6A football in the commonwealth, protects its investment with a 300-pound interior guy with a 495-pound back squat and a 750-pound pull. Great idea! Today’s feature about a kid who is as good at the center slot as one might see in the Derby City.
