He is 5’11,” 170-pounds, plays a variety of positions on offense, scores a bunch, and contributes to the return/coverage units on special teams. He is a multi-phase guy on the commonwealth’s premier 6A roster who is sporting quite an impressive list of D-I, FBS, Power 4 suitors. Haden Wise, from Fort Campbell, is the Lasaters Coffee & Tea Wake Up and Smell the Coffee (or Tea) Featured Player of the Week @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @LasatersCoffee, @FC_FALCONS_FB #Kentuckys #fletcherwlong #LeadershipLegacy #CoachingExcellence #MentorshipMatters #characterbuilding #SportsLeadership #BuildingChampions #kentuckyfootball #highschoolfootball #DisciplineAndDedication #athletics #successmindset #bookstagram #booklovers #fletcherlongauthor

Haden Wise is a guy at Fort Campbell about whom we could publish an article a week. We call him “the little General” around our offices. Wise is a guy who has used this year at the Fort to firmly establish himself as a bone fide football star. He didn’t come into the year expecting to play QB necessarily but there is no denying he has played both RB and QB effectively and well when called upon to do so. Without Wise this season, we are confident in saying the Fort might be winless. We want to go back a week and feature a performance by Haden Wise where he not only gained over 200-yards rushing, scoring twice, but he also registered a pair of tackles, a sack, and an INT. Wise, week in and week out, has been among the offensive leaders for the Falcons football team lining up at QB, RB, WR or wherever else he has been needed. Wise’s multi-faceted, athletic tool belt makes him more, not less, recruitable to colleges around the commonwealth. Enjoy this feature.

Lloyd Memorial is a team which has been overlooked as a potential 3A title contender. It is not our fault, we had them No. 3 on our preseason top-team’s poll coming into the season. Lincoln Tomlinson was the headliner coming into the year. Well, his classmate, Colten Barger (’28) looks as though he may have etched his name on the stud-wall in the locker room so far this year. The Juggernauts are 6-0 and have ripped through both a 5A team (Collins) and a 6A squad (Campbell County). With four regular season games left, this Juggernaut of a team may be headed to 10-0 and quite a few playoff games at home. Enjoy this look at a main reason why.

This usually is a pretty fun article. A few days ago we posted the “KPGFootball Scorecard.” On that document we memorialized the matchup and just who we believed would win and why. What we do in the scorecard is give you the solution. What we don’t do is demonstrate how we worked the problem. Thursdays, during the football season, we often publish an article which “shows our math.” If you read this article you will see why we picked the teams we picked to win and why we picked the teams we picked to lose. You may not agree and that is okay. We are wrong between 10-15% of the time. It makes for fine reading and generous discussion. Enjoy the article.
