’27 safety/WR can place kick and is a three (3) phase, 6A performer
Jackson Grantz can do it all, literally. Grantz, last season in only 10-games of run, registered 90-tackles, two (2) TFLs, a pair of INTs, 84-IRNYs, and a “pick-six.” Grantz made 23-PATs and a pair of FGs. Grantz led the team in scoring with 59-points (4-TDs receiving, 1-INT return, 2-FGs, 23-PATs). Grantz caught 19-balls for 232-yards and four (4) scores. Wow! Remember, this cat is playing 6A, District 7 football. Not a ton of three-phase guys playing “Big Boy” football. Grantz is 6’0,” 185 pounds who runs a 4.4, 40-yard dash, clips off the 100-meters in 11.2-seconds, shuttles in 4.3-seconds, verticals 31.9-inches, and bench presses 245-pounds. This guy maybe among the best football players in Kentucky about whom you haven’t heard. Get ready, that is all about to change.

Lexington, KY: It is important for kids to dream and to chase those dreams. Andy Frisella chased his dreams. Frisella is the CEO of 1st Phorm International, a nutritional supplement company that rakes in more than $175 million in revenue each year.

Frisella once wrote that chasing dreams is considered vital because it transforms life from a state of “mere existence” to a life of both purpose and vitality. While the ultimate goal provides a target, the primary importance lies in the personal evolution and fulfillment found during the process.
Jackson Grantz from Lafayette High in Lexington, KY has been chasing a dream or two himself. According to Grantz, a ’27 football prospect, his dream has always been to play college football. Grantz is purposefully and with vitality chasing the dream and gaining evolvement and fulfillment from the process.
Grantz learned his love of sports from his Dad. Theirs has been a partnership toward fulfilling Grantz’s considerable athletic promise.
Grantz loves competing, has played multiple varsity sports, and has learned to be both a good teammate and leader. He has gotten a ton from his high school experience.
Make no mistake, Grantz can play. Hailing from the same high school which produced players like Landon Young and Jedrick Wills, Grantz, in ’25, registered 90-tackles, 2-TFLs, 2-INTs, 84-IRNYs, and a pick-six.

This guy maybe among the best football players in Kentucky about whom you haven’t heard much. Get ready, you will hear from him this year.
Lafayette is one of those programs which has a rich tradition but hasn’t been as good as they are capable of being. The Generals were 5-6 in ’25 but a one-score deficit (21-14) away from flipping the script and going 6-5 had they been able to overcome Tates Creek (Lex.) on the road.
All the programs in Lexington are chasing Bryan Station, Freddy D, Lexington Christian, and Lexington Catholic. Bryan Station beat Lafayette 39-0, bouncing the Generals from last year’s playoffs.
Still, players like Grantz can even things up considerably. Especially where these players employ a hardened work ethic and a no-excuses mentality.
You will hear from this cat this Fall. Mark this down in your book of remembrances.
