’27 two-way lineman looks to make ‘big splash’ with new team
Fort Campbell picked up a pair of big-timers in the Brothers Jessup from Fort Knox. Both of the Jessups are linemen with little brother, Adrian Jessup, being a ’29 prospect and big brother Julius Jessup being a ’27 kid and entering his senior season. Both of the Jessups played in all ten of Fort Knox’s games a year ago. We have seen Julius Jessup listed from 6’0″ to 6’3″ (Blue-Gray All American Combine) but consistently weighed at 260-pounds. Both of the Jessups will be big-time additions to a front at Fort Campbell which figures to be among the area’s best at its level of competition. If you’re good upfront, a team is just usually pretty good. We are excited to see what the Falcons can do with the additions and the outstanding staff Coach Henry Mitchell has put together.

This week our feature is about Julius Jessup. Jessup is a 6’3,” 260-pounder who studded out at the Blue-Grey All American Combine. The staff at the Blue-Grey warn we better keep our eye on this guy and that is exactly what we plan on doing.
Both Jessups are transfers from Fort Knox (Eagles) and both figure to be a football stars at Fort Campbell High School this coming Fall. This article is about Julius Jessup; but, little brother, Adrian Jessup is also a stout lineman.
Julius thrived for the Eagles on both sides of the line of scrimmage in 2025. We believe big-Jessup will be similarly deployed for Coach Henry Mitchell’s Falcons at Fort Campbell this coming season.

Oak Grove, KY: Fort Campbell is excellently coached and has the program headed in the right direction. The program isn’t quite back to the Marshall Patterson/Shawn Berner eras but it is steadily getting more and more competitive under Coach Henry Mitchell. It is developing right fine talent too.
Julius Jessup (’27) is quite stout. Jessup is listed from 6’0″ to 6’3,” where he was measured at the Blue-Grey All-American Combine. Jessup consistently tips the scales at 260-pounds.
Jessup was a two-way, line of scrimmage star for the Eagles at Fort Knox a year ago and figures to plug in for the Falcons much the same way. Jessup registered 28-tackles, 5-TFLs, 3-sacks on defense last season. Jessup also was instrumental in anchoring an offensive line which opened holes for a backfield which would amass 1,692-yards rushing and pass for another 654-yards.
While that number may seem somewhat pedestrian, one would do well to remember something. Fort Knox was 3-7 a year ago and not exactly running and passing it up and down the field against anyone. Who you have around you means something in anyone’s compilation of statistics.
All of that aside, Jessup has the tools to thrive for the Falcons upfront this season and on both sides of the scrimmage line. Jessup squats a quarter ton (500-pounds) and bench presses 315-pounds to match the numbers put up by Sam Suapilimai, who will help the Brothers Jessup with much of the line’s heavy lifting in 2026.
Fort Campbell will be right formidable this coming season along its fronts. This should go a long way toward the team’s being right formidable overall.
In Julius Jessup, the Falcons have a very versatile piece of football equipment. We know both Julius and Adrian can contribute to the Falcon’s ’26 bottom-line and in multiple phases.
