’29 ATH leading the Warriors to a fine year

The last time the Seneca RedHawks were this formidable a legendary coach, the former “Pride of Waggoner High,” Danny Sundberg, was patrolling its sidelines. Coach Leander Peters is doing a fine job and the RedHawks were coming off consecutive shut-out wins entering last night’s game with Atherton singing a full-throated version of the fight song, 🎶Seneca Forever.🎶 Atherton is a tough opponent to face as they are loaded with talent and playing really well in 2026. Do you know who else is playing really well? Yep, Harley Gough from Seneca High. Enjoy this look at this week’s “Kentucky Comfort Creator Feature of the Week” from our friends at Big Ass Fans.

Big Ass Fans from Lexington, Kentucky has a simple corporate goal. The company is “creating a more comfortable world,” one fan at a time.

The logo is the rear of a donkey (Fanny) swishing its tail back and forth. The trademarked logo is among Kentucky’s more celebrated and well known corporate identities across the commonwealth and has come to represent commitment to quality, cutting-edge innovation, and product reliability.

This week our feature is about Harley Gough from Lousiville, KY’s Seneca High School. Gough is a 5’10,” 180-pound speedy and explosive, multi-phase guy who can play anywhere from the Nickel to Linebacker on defense, and RB to Slot on offense and contributes to the third phase on both coverage and return units. Gough’s excellent training together with his undeniable talent, mobility, speed, savvy, frame, and athleticism make him an attraction hard to overlook on any roster.

Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product. Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator. These days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?

Gough is willing to do whatever his coaching staff and teammates need. He gives his talent freely for the betterment and enrichment of the team and not necessarily for himself which is a refreshing attribute to see in a young football star.

We believe Gough may be well on his way to making an All-State football team before much longer in his playing career. We talk about him a lot around our offices and his performance is meriting the attention.

This is exactly how great high school programs, like Seneca High in Louisville, are built and maintained. The great programs are constructed from the ground up, just like great businesses, just like Big Ass Fans.

Louisville, KY: Gough has had an excitingly productive year in multiple phases for his Seneca ball club. We don’t know how his present statistics read, but Gough had 64-tackles through the first five (5) weeks with a pair of sacks, a pair of forced fumbles, and over 100-yards rushing on the year.

Gough is 5’10,” and weighs in at around 180-pounds. Gough reports a forty-time of 4.6-seconds, a 460-pound back squat, and a GPA of 4.1 on a 4.0 scale. You will find plenty of “next level” suitors capable of working with those numbers.

That GPA at Seneca High is a significant achievement. Seneca High School is a college and career preparatory institution committed to academic excellence.

Seneca offers diverse academic programs and extracurriculars in a diverse, inclusive environment, aiming to create lifelong learners through the pursuit of excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. Seneca isn’t handing out grades like Gough’s. He’s earning everything he gets!

Louisville Seneca entertained Atherton last night. It has been an exciting year for Seneca who was looking to get a fifth win, last night, against an Atherton team which entered the contest at 6-1, looking to notch win number seven (7).

This Louisville rivalry featured two programs heading up the 5A ladder with both programs progressing like administrators want to see. Seneca having rostered talent like Harley Gough will ensure progress will continue to be made. This will be a team with which to reckon going forward.
