Three years later it is even harder to move this 6-2, 290-pound DT/NG. He’s at Pikeville High School now, like they really needed the help (denote sarcasm). Enjoy the article. HB.
We used to call him “Big Baby” around the magazine when he was killing it down in the MS ranks as a valuable member of Team Kentucky. We hear he has grown up and we know he is back on the Kentucky side of the line dividing West Virginia and the Bluegrass. It will be fun to see him now that he is all grown up. In the business of covering Kentucky High School football we have a term we call “Championship Level Defense.” What we say about it is simply a Kentucky high school football team will never win a championship without playing defensively like a champion. Someone contacted old Coach Lyons and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, today seemed like as good a day as any to start. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A.
