We have made it no secret we enjoy publicizing the players who rarely get any publicity, the offensive linemen across Kentucky. Well, if I were putting together a line of scrimmage from all of the linemen across the commonwealth of Kentucky to play a football game, the Big Nashty would be prominently discussed as a starter on this line. Someone contacted old Coach Lyon and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, today seemed like as good a day as any to continue the tradition. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A and yesterday we projected Class 3A. Today we give you our projections for the next classification up from the lowest one, here is Class 4A!
Don’t think you need to play football in Division III? Think your too good for that level of competition. First of all, there are fantastic football players at all levels of competition and secondly, some of these schools you are snubbing confer degrees which set you up pretty well for that game called life. Just something to think about with our 999th article.
So, Lexington Catholic is moving up to Class 4A. They are losing a ton of production from off an 8-4 Class 3A football team. Are they sweating it? Nope. Much of the reason they aren’t too worried is they have Beau Allen under center for his senior year. QB’s like him are once-in-a-lifetime players who make any team instantly better.
How good can the Aces be in 2019? Well, they are losing a ton of production from off of 2018’s 8-4 squad but return an All-Stater at QB and still have the second leading rusher and receiver back for another year. It will take production from players like this week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week, but we believe the Aces will come up all-aces!
