New CCHS Coach, Ethan Atchley, will NOT find the cupboard barren, not while there are some [Jimmarion] Byrd[s] flying around @CoachAtchley @ColonelFootball @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @840WHAS

February 17, 2024 Fletcher Long 1

We attended the Atchley presser. He is an impressive guy and will turn that program around lickety-split. He has some material left over around whom to build. One of those “Dude” is a “Byrd.” Jimmarion Byrd is a ’26 guy who has plus size, plus athleticism, and plus hostility and feel for the game. Jimmarion plays angrily, like anyone would want from a LB/Edge guy. Enjoy the feature and get ready for the Atchley Show. Friday Night Fletch.

Breakout Series: We believe @derrell_bateman (’24) at @ColonelFootball, provided he commits to the game of football, is ready to sore above the competition. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

Our breakout series is meant to highlight players likely to come from nowhere to be a star in the coming season. We either look like fools or exceedingly wise when the season arrives. We went out on the limb in this prediction. Still, that being said, we are acting on reliable information from a very reliable source and we feel pretty good about this prediction. Enjoy the feature. Class of 2020 Tyquez Douglas, Clarksville NE High School, is the Meeks and Meeks Montgomery County Player of the Week

June 27, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

We are sure Christian County was none too pleased about Tyquez Douglas moving to Clarksville, Tennessee. After all, not a lot of back-end protection the quality of Tyquez Douglas just hanging around Western Kentucky rosters even in the 5A Classification. Oh well, the Eagles of NorthEast High School seem intent on taking full advantage of what amounts to quite a boon for its program. Enjoy this looks at this submission of the Montgomery County Player of the Week and join us next week as we crown a new recipient.

Kolbe Langhi, talk about your stat lines!

I know I have before written about Kolbe Langhi. See, Christian County’s Kolbe Langhi, Aces the Eye-Test, August 3, 2017. You may remember in that previous article I predicted, Kentucky Prep Gridiron believes this is another player in the Commonwealth who would be much more highly prized if he had grown up […]

In 1947 a woman named Mary Frances Gerety copyrighted the phrase A Diamond is Forever while working on a slogan for the popular diamond sellers De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd. It was a slogan meant to highlight the rare quality and value of the diamond as a gem stone and to make a […]

Christian County’s Kolbe Langhi, Aces the Eye-Test

August 3, 2017 Fletcher Long 0

Kolbe Langhi is a 6’6″ 220 lb. pro-style QB who can, according to his position coach at CCHS, Blake Ladson, make all the throws and with umph! Kolbe was hand-timed at 4.95 in the 40 approximately a year ago but hasn’t run a recent timed 40 owing to his nursing a tender hammy […]
