Storm Warning

’25 versatile performer adds value to any signing class

We have focused on versatility this Fall and even the off season leading up to the Fall. Individual players who add tremendous value to their teams in multiple phases of the game or coveted and valuable. Isaac Manning has just polished off a very fine high school career and is looking to land at one of Kentucky’s fine area college programs. Manning tells KPGFootball he is most keenly interested in being a Bulldog at Union College. Is the interest mutual? We believe so!

Number one, Isaac Manning, has been at or near the top in many different statistical categories

Morton’s Gap, KY: As we wind up the high school season, bracing for the semi-state this weekend and the championships the weekend after, we prepare for recruiting season. There are prospects already pledged to a school but plenty more who remain available for football programs with a strong enough scouting system to find them.

One of those “available” prospects is an extremely versatile performer at Hopkins County Central. We are talking about ’25 ATH, Isaac Manning.

Manning had the type senior year we expected. Manning is believed to be in serious contention for the “Big Ass Fans, Small School All-State Team” which will be published after the championships. We like to see guys perform on the big stage before making ant final decisions.

Manning was second on his team in receiving and touchdowns receiving, third in scoring and TFLs, and tied for fourth in both tackles and QB-sacks. Manning left the team in forced fumbles (tied for first) and was the outright leader in fumble recoveries.

Manning scored TDs on offense and special teams, where he led the squad in “housed” two-point conversions. That is a lot of bang for your buck.

KPGFootball has talked with Manning about his future prospects. He tells KPGFootball, “First of all, it is an honor for any school to recruit a player next level and I am humbled and blessed by the attention which has been shown me. I am hoping to catch the eye of the Union Bulldog program as that is where I believe my talents may best be utilized.”

Coach Chris Manning, Carlos Mason

We have exchanged text messages with Bulldog headman, John Luttrell, about this prospect. The interest is definitely mutual.

Who knows, the Bulldogs may dip into Morton’s Gap and pick up a Carlos Mason to go along with Manning. Wouldn’t that be something?

This will be a situation worth monitoring. That is exactly what we intend to do.
