’28 WR/DB has the measurements (6’3,” 205) & showing ‘tools’

We love Lexington Christian Academy’s (LCA), Brady Couch. What is not to love? He is 6’3,” weighs 205-pounds, and has been offered by a handful of Divison 1, FBS schools to date with many more evaluating him. Brady will be a junior in 2026 and that is the year where the college guys have to start distancing themselves from the competition. If you want a guy likely to ‘break out’ this coming fall, this may just be the guy. Couch’s playtime time was limited in ’25; but, Couch looks both fully heathy and fully ready for an impact season playing on one of the KHSAA’s more impactful rosters.

eCampus.com was built on a simple idea: make textbooks affordable, convenient, and accessible for every student. Founded in 1999 in Lexington, KY and backed by visionary investors like Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas, the company has grown into a premier online textbook retailer for high school and college students nationwide.

Their mission has always been supporting student success both on and off the field through affordable access to the course mater

That is why eCampus.com sponsors the KPGFootball, Big Man on the eCampus series. This week’s Big Man on the eCampus is Brady Couch. One reason we are featuring him here is Couch is another Eagle who could have made the Small School All-State Football Team and will be a strong candidate for the ’26 team.

No all-state team is flawless. Mistakes will be made, every year.

Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) perennially competes for KHSAA championships at its level of play. Players developing into stars, like Brady Couch, have a ton to do with any football program’s success.

Lexington, KY: It can’ be easy being the son of arguably the best high school football player the commonwealth of Kentucky has ever produced. Whether the Couches like it or not, and they both probably hate it, there will be endless comparisons, endless criticism, endless commentary.

Sizemore

Thank the Good Lord “little” Couch doesn’t play quarterback. There is that bit of grace.

Couch is listed as a WR/ATH. We have watched some film on him at different combines and he works quite a bit at DB. Nations Elite, a nationally published digital recruiting service, lists him among their top DBs in the commonwealth of Kentucky in the 2028 graduating class.

Some programs transcend their classification. LCA is one of those.

Brady Couch transcended his being a freshman and has transcended his only getting two games of run as a sophomore. Couch, in spite of sparse game film through no fault of his own, is among the more recruited prospects in Kentucky in the ’28 class and routinely ranks among the best at his positions among KHSAA college prospects.

We call that making it count when given opportunity. Couch certainly has done that. Unfortunately his opportunities have come more at combines and camps than on Friday nights. We believe that will all radically change this coming season.

Couch, only got a couple games in as a sophomore but, in 7-games as a freshman, Couch picked three passes to tie for the club lead

KHSAA Statistical Website

There are a ton of things which recommend Couch to recruiters. There is pedigree (bloodline) which can’t be discounted. There is frame (6’3, 205). There is intelligence (3.21-GPA).

Couch moves fluently, has good speed and quicks, is “twitchy,” and has excellent football IQ and instincts. Couch has been exceedingly well coached. There is also that.

There is a reason parents do backbends to get their kids on LCA’s football roster. LCA is an excellent school, has an excellent curriculum and teaching faculty, and has an exceedingly accomplished coaching staff.

Kids do very well coming out of there. Success breeds further success!

Couch shares the defensive backfield with another standout prospect. Thomas Sizemore, also a ’28, registered 74-tackles, 4-TFLs, and a FR his sophomore season following up a freshman year which would see him register 67-tackles, 4.5-TFLs, a FR, and three (3) INTs to tie with Couch atop the leaderboard in the “passes picked” category in 2024.

It will be fun to see this tandem team up to patrol the back-third of the Eagles defense in ’26. Talk about a lockdown defensive backfield, this would certainly qualify as a “no fly zone.”

Should be interesting to see what these two do when both are playing every down as is the plan. This will be the junior year for both. This will be huge seasons for the tandem.

Join us next week as we honor another eCampus.com, Big Man on the eCampus, furthering our offseason coverage. Until then, from any classroom to every field, eCampus.com delivers an easy, fast, and affordable way to order textbooks for students everywhere.
