This week’s Stewart Williams Company Robertson County Player of the Week is Noah Batey from Greenbrier High School. Batey is a 6-4, 290-pound OT who is playing well for the Bobcats so far this season in spite of the team’s struggling somewhat at 1-5. His play regularly exceeds any and all reasonable expectations, week after week. Enjoy this look at a big guy getting the job done for his teammates. Join us again next week as we look to recognize another of Robertson County’s worthy players.
Congratulations to Gavin Wimsatt, Class of 2022 QB, who plays football for Owensboro Senior High, for his revolutionary play on the football field. Oh yeah, before we forget, congratulations for being this week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. Join us next week for another selection.
Do you feel lucky punk? Do you? Those famous words were uttered by “Dirty Harry” Callahan, played by actor Clint Eastwood. Callahan was a police detective made famous in a series of movies in the 70’s and 80’s. Baron Wells’ response to whether he feels lucky would have to be a resounding “Yes.” Read why in this article.
This week is different as there are a ton of teams about to go on “Fall Break” so many of these teams, which would normally play on Friday, will play Thursday instead. Enjoy this look at the Thursday match-ups.
Looking for a punishing OG for a football team committed to running the football. We have one for you, and we believe him to be the best in his class at the guard position. Here’s 6-1, 270-pound Owen LeMaster from Paintsville, Kentucky. Enjoy the article. HB.
We at KPGFootball are, once again, very pleased to represent our readers and subscribers as voting members of the Associated Press here in Kentucky. The following is this week’s top 10 polls in all six Kentucky high school classifications.
With apologies to DJ Khaled, it is Tyler Ezell who only wins (“All I do is win, win, win, no matter what…”). He has made a career of ruining the night of the opposing team and arresting victory from the clutches of defeat. He did it to Madisonville North-Hopkins this past Friday night. Can he do it to Hopkinsville this Thursday? If I were Hopkinsville, I wouldn’t want the ball in this kid’s hands with the game in question late. Enjoy the article.

We are enormously privileged to get to vote in the weekly AP top-10 football polls for all 6 classifications of KHSAA football. This article is how we cast our ballot this week. THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL POLL as it will be released to the public this coming Monday afternoon, if tradition holds. We pour over data and statistical information in order to arrive at each team’s poll position. Don’t get too upset with how we vote, it plays itself out on the field anyway.
