We have before featured Parker Deaton and he is coming through like we would have forecast. The 5-7, 150-pound senior dynamo is killing it in 2019 like we predicted he would.

Deaton is gaining 149-yards per game. Deaton has rushed for 745 yards, total thus far, on 75 rushing attempts, with 7 rushing touchdowns in 5 games. So, sure, Deaton is a big reason White House Heritage is 3-2 through this season’s first half.

However, it would be in error to believe Deaton is doing all of this by himself. The Patriots have quite an option two in the backfield who is putting together a special season on both sides of the football.

Jackson Maples has gained 405 yards on the ground through the first five ballgames in 79 carries, averaging 5.1 yards per carry and 81 yards per contest. Maples has also registered 23-tackles through the first five games and an interception.

Congratulations, to Jackson Maples of White House, Tennessee for being selected the Stewart Williams Furniture Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week. Join us, next week, as we anoint a new recipient.
