The @1776Bank Revolutionary Player this week is @theelimanning1 who is a 2022 ILB for @MaleBulldogs… @Aspirationsgym, @KyHighFootball

The move to ILB appears to be just what the Doctor ordered!

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank Player of the Week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player who, quite frankly, is one of the Class of 2022’s best inside linebackers, which is a surprise to no one, as we had him at the very top of our instate list for his class back when he was a NG/DT. Elijah Manning is ready to really shine at the defense’s “QB position” at Louisville Male, a.k.a. ILB.

Manning made KPGFootball’s freshman and sophomore All-State teams. We’ve been on him a while.

Manning’s Male High School in Louisville is right down the road from the Independence Bank branch located in the popular and well-known, Saint Matthews Square, on 3901 Shelbyville Road.

Go on down and see our friends in Saint Matthews Square and give them both the opportunity and privilege to earn your business. Let them demonstrate to you what makes Independence Bank the best in the banking business  and the fastest growing financial institution in Kentucky.

Elijah Manning had a tremendous sophomore year at one of Kentucky’s very elite high school programs. The 6-1, 230-pounder, had 74-tackles, 8-TFLs, and 2 QB-Sacks splitting time between playing LBer and with his hand in the dirt.

He is one of those kids who can do either at the high school level. Elijah benches three-plates (315-pounds), has repped 225-pounds, 16-times, squats 425, and deadlifts 515. He works out regularly with Kentucky’s elite trainer of athletes, Chris Vaughn, at his Aspirations Fitness Center in Louisville.

Pretty obvious he’s been putting in the work. Marshall and EKU have noticed as they have both pulled the trigger and offered the big-time, Kentucky rising junior.

Independence Bank is equally impressed with Elijah’s 3.3 GPA and NCAA Clearing-house eligible ACT score. We expect both will substantially rise, like his play, as he gets more core course work under his belt.

The smartest move for Manning’s collegiate playing future was Vaughn’s marketing Manning as an ILB at a Nike event this summer, as opposed to a NG/DT. Manning has fantastic frame to play inside in college and plenty of athleticism to cover the 2nd-level like a blanket. A little bird has told us he demonstrates the coverage ability weekly down at Aspirations against some of the best receivers Kentucky has at the HS level.

Congratulations, Elijah Manning, both for your Revolutionary Play in 2019 and that which is to come in 2020, all of which has earned you this week’s recognition. Go out there and show them of what you’re made, Ethan…your friends at Independence Bank in Saint Matthews Square will all be watching!
