@schofficial86, the ‘Scholfield Leg-Rocket,’ is aiming for a banner senior year!

When I was coaching ball I used to say all the time having a potent placekicker on the roster was like finding a $20 bill in the pocket of a pair of pants you just got dry cleaned. It is really a luxury and can win you a championship, believe me. Well, Kentucky doesn’t have a better placekicker in the 2021 graduating class than McCracken County’s “The Scholfield Leg Rocket.” Enjoy the article. HB.

Coach Lyon’s Class 6A preseason top-10 football poll…

July 29, 2019 Fletcher Long 2

Someone contacted old Coach Lyon and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, the day we were called seemed like as good a day as any to continue that tradition. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A, then 2A, then 3A, then 4A, and yesterday we projected Class 5A. Today we give you our projections for the largest Kentucky classification, Kentucky Class 6A. We have now completed this series and hope this has peaked your interest in something we love around here with all our hearts…Kentucky High School football. Have a great season, everyone of you. We can’t wait to both watch and report on it.

August 29, 2018 Fletcher Long 0

Well, last week KPGFootball picked 17 football games and went 15-2. Not too shabby even if it is we saying so. We had enough fun doing that we decided we would go another round and, this time, we are picking 20 games. For some of these matchups we might make […]

Class of 2020, Elijah Wheat, McCracken County

July 6, 2018 Fletcher Long 1

McCracken County didn’t produce the type of offensive fireworks in 2017 to which Coach Marc Clark has become accustomed over the course of his head coaching career. Haven’t talked with him about it, but I would suppose he would be the first to make that admission. Last year, the Class […]
