When I was coaching ball I used to say all the time having a potent placekicker on the roster was like finding a $20 bill in the pocket of a pair of pants you just got dry cleaned. It is really a luxury and can win you a championship, believe me. Well, Kentucky doesn’t have a better placekicker in the 2021 graduating class than McCracken County’s “The Scholfield Leg Rocket.” Enjoy the article. HB.

Someone contacted old Coach Lyon and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, the day we were called seemed like as good a day as any to continue that tradition. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A, then 2A, then 3A, then 4A, and yesterday we projected Class 5A. McCracken County didn’t produce the type of offensive fireworks in 2017 to which Coach Marc Clark has become accustomed over the course of his head coaching career. Haven’t talked with him about it, but I would suppose he would be the first to make that admission. Last year, the Class […]
The Tigers had lost everything from off the 2016, 10-2 football team. They had lost so much Coach Marc Clark took the first train to Paducah to land at McCracken County High School’s head coaching vacancy. The Tigers lost 4 out of 5 starting offensive linemen, 2 college athletes at […]
