Leelen Vanover, from Madison Southern High, is (likely) the best lineman in the KHSAA in its 2027 class @Leelen75 @Drake_Jackson52 @coachpayne64 @CoachHarpMS @FBCoachWolf @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @840WHAS @KyHighFootball

Leelen Vanover has been judged one of Kentucky’s top five (5) OL in the high school game we would suppose. We believe it must be an overall ranking because we can’t fathom there being four other freshmen/rising sophomore linemen in Kentucky on par with Vanover. Vanover is 6’2,” 280-pounds of grown looking and he has a 4.0 GPA. He is getting Division-1 looks right now and that attention is only going to get more common and fierce as we move along his high school career. He can play any of the five (5) upfront slots along the offensive line. Enjoy this feature. Friday Night Fletch.

Cade Sullivan, ‘The Berea Blast,’ may be the best athlete in the ’23 class… @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @kyhighs @HLpreps @MaxPreps @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @mshsfb_eagles @Mshs_Eagles_

We have followed Cade Sullivan since his being one of Kentucky’s finest coming out of its middle school ranks. He has been a superstar in HS too, just on a team which has struggled which impacts many players who find themselves so situated. This kid is drawing D-1 looks and has D-1 speed. We would call him an athlete. Read this article and let us know what you would call him. HB.

Coach Lyon’s Class 5A preseason top-10 football poll…

July 28, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

Someone contacted old Coach Lyon and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, today seemed like as good a day as any to continue the tradition. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A and yesterday we projected Class 4A. Today we give you our projections for the next classification up from the lowest one, here is Class 5A and we will complete the series tomorrow with Class 6A!

We have wandered through the abyss that is the KHSAA “Dead Period” and into the first day of real preparation for the 2019 season. We call this the “first day” as (for most high schools) June practice is volitional. There is nothing volitional about July practice. We will be hard […]

Kentucky’s best offensive centers…

August 9, 2018 Fletcher Long 0

Interior offensive linemen are the grunts of a football team. They do all the hard work and never hear their names called unless they really screw the pooch. At the end of the day, the best thing one can say about an interior offensive linemen’s performance is I completely forgot he […]

Montgomery County’s Charles Collins, Class of 2020

June 2, 2018 Fletcher Long 0

I believe running back Charles Collins is one of the best arguments for the necessity of Kentucky Prep Gridiron I have ever been able to make. Collins plays for the Montgomery County Indians who are a district 6 football team in Kentucky’s 5A Classification. Collins had pretty good year last […]
