Obviously, with the team coming off a 43-0 loss to Springfield High School, standing at 2-7 through its first 9 with traditional power, White House High School visiting tonight looking to make the Bobcats 208, the team has seen better days from a standpoint of on-field success. That aside, the Bobcats have some young players both playing well now and whose play should only get better as these young-ones mature. One of the bright spots has been the play of T-NG Paxton Maness. Maness is a Class of 2022 kids who looks ready to take off. His play regularly exceeds any and all reasonable expectations, week after week. Enjoy this look at a big guy getting the job done for his teammates. Before we left Greenbrier for another one of the Robertson County Schools (we’ll be back, don’t worry), we thought we would feature the big left tackle for the Bobcats. You call him “Big No. 75” and we call him Noah Batey. Batey is a next-level player whose deficiencies are fixable. What he does have in spades is a motor, large frame with plenty of length, and athleticism. He plays with his hips sunk, lowering his pad level to where an OL coach would want it. Congratulations to this week’s Stewart Williams Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week and join us next week as we crown a new recipient.

Both Andy’s brother and he were Bret Cooper Junior All-Americans in middle school. Now, Andy is anchoring both sides of the interior fronts for the Greenbrier Bobcats. Even more astounding is how long it took KPGFootball and Stewart Williams Company to make him the Robertson County Player of the Week. High School football teams rise and fall on the efforts of guys like Andy Li.
