We have been covering Bo Wolford since he was in middle school. We have hailed him as among Kentucky’s best IOL prospects for that long. Belfry has the 6’3,” 305-pounder on the edge playing tackle. We aren’t sure he has the length to do that at the next level. Wolford’s “next level” appears to be somewhere in the NCAA’s Division I; from Ivy League, to mid-major, to (maybe) even Power Four. Regardless, there is the matter of a championship to win for Belfry High. Belfry has moved down to 2A and may not find the sledding much easier through the top of that classification which Belfry is poised to join. Enjoy this “Check-in” with one of our all-time, favorite offensive linemen.

Well, it is time for us to pick the 3A classification and how it will “shake out” this coming Fall. We could take the coward’s way out and pick last year’s champion, Christian Academy-Louisville, to repeat. Instead, we took the coward’s way out and picked eight-time title holder, Belfry. Enjoy. Friday Night Fletch.

Dre Young is a kid who inherited the unenviable task of having to fill the shoes of Isaac Dixon, the departed, consensus, “Mr. Football” who led the Pirates to their 8th-title a year ago. Big shoes for anyone to have to fill. How is he doing? This article will tell you. HB.

Belfry’s Ethan Wolford dominating his second sport…

We have, over and over again, extolled the virtues of high school athletes playing multiple sports. We have patiently explained how much college football recruiters favor recruiting and signing multi-sport athletes to play college football and by a very large percentage we might add. We have been just as generous […]

Please your honours, said he, I’m able,/By means of a secret charm, to draw/All creatures living beneath the sun,/That creep or swim or fly or run,/After me so as you never saw!…“Pied Piper of Hamelin,” Robert Browning. These words were written about a man who lent himself to a city […]
