This guy here has to be an early favorite for the ’25 “Mr. Football” race. He’s good at races as a member of the Woodford County Track & Field team. We seem to cover him a ton; but then again, we do cover the studs and he is certainly that.

Andrew Nason from Wofo staking his early claim as being a ’25 ‘Mr. Football Candidate.’ @AndrewNason21 @WoodfordFBall @WofoNews @SFord_7 @4adenN @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLpreps

He is a transfer from 4A Hopkinsville High School. With the struggles Hoptown has experienced with QB play, and with the efficiency this young ’25 QB has displayed, don’t you imagine the transfer of this particular player to Woodford County is all the more painful? Enjoy this look at a player whose candidacy for the ’25 graduating class’s “Mr. Football” award is looking all the more legitimate, week after week. HB.

When you get to Kentucky 5A, that is certainly denoted as “Big Boy Football” within the commonwealth. For instance, players playing two-ways or “iron man football” at the 5A level or higher gets increasingly rare but you will still see it and usually those pulling it off are really special talents. Here is our best guess concerning how this classification shakes out this coming season. Enjoy! HB.

Some guys just look the part. Guys like @browncaleb29 from @WoodfordFBall for instance. @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

This guy didn’t get a ton of varsity action over his sophomore year but he did get some. By the end of the shortened season, he was looking more and more like a player the team would, one-day, rely on heavily. We think the time is now. He has put in the work and his frame and dimensions are perfect for where he projects capable of playing. Ladies and Gentlemen, we give you Caleb Brown! Enjoy the feature. HB.

The Preseason Top-5 in the 5A-Classification. Some stalwarts and a surprise await you! @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

We have been projecting the top-5 team, preseason, in each of Kentucky’s six-classifications. We have been bold in some of our predictions, picking some wild cards we aren’t sure everyone would pick. Here is how we see Class 5A fleshing out. If we didn’t pick your team and you see a district opponent listed among our top-5, that means we don’t think you see round three. Let the water-cooler debates commence. HB.

@WoodfordFBall picks up a timely and important enrollee in Andrew Nason

You Really don’t want to lose top-flight talent entering your ninth-grade. Not all ninth-graders are created equally. Some have the frame, polish, and skill set to help teams out quickly. Andrew Nason is one of those type ninth-graders. He has had excellent coaching, has a very polished skill-set, with an excellent frame and athleticism which would indicate early PT for one of 2024’s best football players. Enjoy the article, Yellow-Jacket Fans! HB.

Garrard County’s Hayes Preston, Class of 2025, proof of Team Kentucky’s fallibility

June 27, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

Hayes Preston didn’t make the Team Kentucky Future Stars-6th grade team but was an alternate. We know what Hayes can do and we still believe him to be among the very best football players in Kentucky in his graduating class. We can say this because look at everything else he has done. Not everyone in football thrives in shorts and shirts running around cones. Some people need to pad-up and thud-up for the evaluator to get a complete and accurate look at what the kid can do as a football player. We think our buddy, Ricco Hughes, missed one here. We miss on far more guys than he does. Nobody’s perfect, though he is pretty close.

Ethan Phillips, Highland Middle, Class of 2024, a stalwart for his class along the line of scrimmage

We got a note from someone advocating our doing a feature on this particular player. With his having played on two successful and victorious Team Kentucky Future Stars it was easily time to be featuring him. The person sending us the information said “He may not be feature material, but I think he’s a name worth remembering.” Well, we couldn’t disagree with you more about the first part. We absolutely think he’s “feature material.” In fact, here’s his feature right here. Enjoy the article. HB.
