These are the 37 players whom our selection committee felt impacted their respective teams on Friday Nights sufficiently to warrant selection to this All-State Football team. We weighted both playoff and end of the year performance more heavily than Sophomores who played early but faded as the year went along. Playoff and Championship Game play was weighted heaviest of all. All-State performers perform when they get the opportunity on the Big Stage. Should a search through the KHSAA records net seasonal totals the reader finds wanting, the answer is probably that the young man came on during the playoff run, or in some cases, with a State Championship on the line, to provide critical and crucial play for his team when the team needed it most. We can’t stress this strongly enough, it shouldn’t take long for an All-State, Sophomore football player to enter the starting lineup during his sophomore seasonThese are not the only sophomores in Kentucky deserving of this recognition but we guarantee these 37 are deserving!

KPGFootball would like to thank its Commonwealth-wide selection committee for your tireless service to this very arduous task. On KPGFootball’s behalf, this is Fletcher Long, reminding you and all other ballers out there to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE
