’28 WR tearing it up so far in his career

There is one thing we know if we know nothing else. We know there isn’t a better nor more productive WR in the KHSAA’s ’28 graduating class than Central High (Lou.) School’s Khalen Hadley. Hadley had quite the sophomore season playing WR for a program much better known for grinding it out on the ground than taking to the air. The Yellowjackets are as tough of customers as come in a 3A package and should round into contending form as the ’26 season arrives. This Hadley kid is looking to add attack to his arsenal and do way more than just catch football as he enters his junior season.

Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator. These days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?

This week our feature is about Khalen Hadley. Hadley played Louisville’s Central High School and was a star on the football team at the wide receiver post. He appears likely to contribute to the ’26 ball club in more than just on offense.

Louisville, KY: Khalen Hadley made first team all-district for his performance as a sophomore at the WR slot. Central High plays in the third district of the 3A classification and routinely plays all comers.

While going 5-7 in ’25, a terribly tough year for the Yellowjackets, Central was still able to beat 6A Butler (Lou.), beat St. Francis DeSales, and beat traditional 3A power, Bardstown. Central played Manual, Covington Catholic, and Christian Academy of Louisville (CAL) so you see what we mean by that plays all comers quip.

Mekale Mckay, the new head man, has his work cut out for him. However, Coach McKay will still have some arrows in the quiver.

Khalen Hadley had a big sophomore season. The ’28 WR played in 10 of the team’s 12-games, caught 30-balls, accounted for 600-all purpose yards, and three (3) scores.

Hadley scored 22-points and even contributed a couple two-point conversions on special teams. Matter of fact, Hadley has been known to hoop it up on the hardwood for the Yellowjackts too.

Hadley is listed around 5’11,” and weighing about 150-pounds. This is deceiving as his length permits his playing well taller than he lists.

One of the best numbers for Hadley has to be the 3.42-GPA he has (thus far) posted. Numbers like that will insure he gets plenty of next level looks.

For right now, Hadley is focused on doing whatever he is called upon to improve his program’s fortunes. Last season’s posted 5-7 ain’t gonna cut it around a program which has enjoyed the success to which the Yellowjackets have become historically accustomed.

Central has plenty of athletic talent roaming its hallways. Lots of “Hadleys” in the Central High football Field-house.

In Hadley, the Yellowjackets have a very versatile piece of football equipment. We know the kid can contribute to the passing game. We believe him capable of contributing in multiple phases.
