Keeping ‘Tabbs’ on Franklin County’s Corieon @CorieonTabbs @eCampusdotcom, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @FCFlyerFootball

’27 multi-phase talent ready to lead team to 4A title

Corieon Tabbs can do a ton of stuff on a football field. Last year as a junior, Tabbs caught a pass on offense, housed a punt and a pair of KOs on special teams, and registered 70-tackles, 12-TFLs, 4.5 sacks, a pick, and a pair or FRs on defense. That is three-phases on one of 4A’s deepest and more talented rosters playing for one of 4As more successful coaches (Eddie James). What will he do in 2026? He’s hoping lead the Flyers to a 4A championship. That road, like most every year, runs through Boyle County. Should be an entertaining watch.

HB Lyon, Scouting Director, “KPGFootball”

Frankfort, KY: Ever heard of “Corian?” My mother was a kitchen and bathroom designer in the 70s-80s and installed quite a bit of Corian as a “countertop” in many of her custom designed kitchens and bathrooms.

Eddie James

Corian was (and still is I believe) a brand of durable, non-porous solid surface material used for countertops mostly. If you spell it a little differently, “Corieon,” it is a football star with three (3) phase utility playing for one of the more talent laden rosters in the KHSAA at any level of competition.

That is what makes us the leading reporters on KHSAA football. We just know scads of seemingly inconsequential stuff which makes for interesting angles on interesting storylines.

That is how you get to around a million views as quickly as we. Who would’ve thunk it?

We don’t know out of what substance you would compose your own custom built counter-top were you installing a new kitchen or bathroom. You might use laminate, you might use granite, you might use Corian.

That being said, we know this; were we putting together a football roster for a high school game, we would pick Corieon Tabbs both early and often provided we wanted to win. That fact isn’t even a close call.

Tabbs may be undersized, but his performance isn’t

Friday Night Fletch

Tabbs is undersized for a guy who plays at the second level defensively and dabbles at WR on offense. Tabbs is 6’0,” 155-pounds. Tabbs’s Friday Night performance is the perfect size, the perfect production.

Like Coach Lyons told you in his scout appearing above this article, last year as a junior, Tabbs caught a pass on offense. Tabb also housed a punt and a pair of KOs on special teams.

Defensively, Tabbs registered 70-tackles, 12-TFLs, 4.5 sacks, a pick, and a pair or FRs. That is three-phase utility on one of 4A’s deepest and more talented rosters. That is plenty of utility for a player toiling away for one of 4As more successful football coaches (Eddie James).

What does Tabbs have in store for 2026? Well, in 2025, the Flyers were 14-1 and played Boyle County for the 4A title. The plans for ’26 should be epic.

Matter of fact, the Flyers have shown incredible resilience and consistency for the past several seasons by winning six (6) straight regional championships and making the semi-state each of those prior six (6) seasons. The Flyers have made the 4A title game four (4) times in program history.

So if trends hold, and with the talent returning, one would think a title in ’26 would be both fitting and attainable. Tabbs wants fans to know his teammates and he will be shooting for that.

Talent like Corieon Tabbs possesses makes dreams come true. They often win titles along the way. Sometimes, they make a darn fine countertop!
