Adams is wrestling his way to the top of the depth chart
We can prove to you rather simply that Cooper Adams, from Trigg County, a class of 2029 prospect, is set to explode onto the scene in 2026. First of all Adams won a middle school state wrestling championship in middle school and polished off a 23-5 record and state appearance his freshman year up on the varsity. Adams played in eight (8) games his freshman season and contributed in several key statistical categories. Look for this kid to really take off this coming season. That is why he is this week’s Bank of Cadiz Feature of the Week.

Cadiz, KY: Cooper Adams is an extraordinary athlete. With wrestling season having just concluded on the heels of football, we saw ample evidence of this prowess both on the gridiron and the wrestling mat.

Long was a fine football player. Wherever Long was positioned, whether offense, defense, or special teams; all Long did was make plays to benefit his team. However, Long suffered a serious injury which impaired his ability to continue to play the sport he loves.
That shouldn’t be taken to mean Long didn’t contribute to the last Christian County football team. In ’25, not only did Long contribute substantially to the tackle numbers, but he may have saved a life. Here is the link to that article.
As for his frame, Adams has some filling out and growing up to do. Adams won the MS wrestling title at the 122-pound weight class and was listed around 5’4″ at the time. Adams wrestled this winter at 144-pounds.
We don’t believe he has just gotten heavier. We believe he has grown taller too, just how much we aren’t sure.
Adams plays football, wrestles, and has been recognized as a junior wrestling official
Friday Night Fletch
Adams wears number 16 on the football field. Adams has been recognized by school athletic officials as a disciplined, multi-sport athlete who also serves as a junior wrestling official.
Let’s hope the coaches at Trigg County wrestling will foster, encourage, and permit Adams to continue to fulfill his role as a junior wrestling official. Developing tomorrow’s talent, be they players or coaches, is a worthwhile and important role for all present day professionals.
All in all, Adams earned a varsity letter as a football player and a wrestler and made a run to the state championships on the mat. All in all, not a bad year. Matter of fact, it was a special and (even) spectacular couple of seasons.
What will Adams do in ’26, his sophomore season? We are pretty sure his statistical outlay will explode and probably in multiple phases of the attack.
Adams is a winner. Adams is a hard working, tough customer. All of these are excellent components for a future football and wrestling star.
We’ll see you at the games this Fall.
