This guy last won this award in middle school. He was heading to play in a middle school All-American football game at the time. We thought he would be a high school All-American too, even then. Not even we thought it would be as quickly as it has occurred. Congratulations to this week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week and join us again next week as we award this to another worthy recipient.

We have been featuring the players who are jumping on in-state schools early as opposed to “waiting and seeing” whether there is room in the Inn for them at the D-1 level. Lots of tremendous opportunities and football below the D-1 level. This article features two kids who came to this realization and who happen to be two kids we have before covered many times. Enjoy the article. HB.

Here is the AP’s final top-ten poll of the 2020 @KyHighFootball season. @minguabeefjerky, @PrepSpin, @1776Bank

We are privileged to get to participate in this weekly poll and we take our participation very seriously. This week we decided to post the poll as it comes to us without any effort to reformat it. We don’t know what all the little “t’s” are about but what the heck, let’s throw it up and see how it comes out the other end. The message of appreciation at the top is from Catherine Hills with the AP to KPGFootball and the other members of the subscribed media who vote the poll listed at the bottom.

#Isaac Dixon from @BelfryFootball1 is the @minguabeefjery “Protein-packed Performer of the Week.” @PrepSpin, @KyHighFootball, @1776Bank

Talk about your protein-packed performers, this 5-11, 190-pound RB/DB for Belfry High School (3A) had a quite a night this past Friday. Matter of fact, he’s having quite the year. We think he is a bone fide “Mr. Football” candidate. He’s been in the running every week for the “prize.” If a night like what he had Friday doesn’t get you a T-shirt and some beef jerky, it is hard to imagine what one has to accomplish to win the award. Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient. HB.

This young man is an excellent player along an odd front as a nose. He may have a future along the interior as an offensive lineman too in college where his defensive background will be viewed as a “plus.” Historically, converted defensive linemen make for more aggressive offensive linemen who are better finishers. There are lots of examples of this. Enjoy this article which emanated from out sit down with a prospect in the Class of 2022 who is one of our very favorites, commonwealth-wide. HB.
