Tupper, a 5’11,” 230-pound RB/LB (’27) is ready to put an airtight seal on the starting slot
Brayden Tupper is one of the many young, talented players which have Laker fans salivating at the prospects of Calloway County under the direction of new coach Coby Lewis. Lewis is fresh off helping Paducah’s “Blue Tornado” wrap up a 4A KHSAA title and he is raring to get this coming season under way. Tupper sports a 535-pound deadlift, a 290-pound bench press, and a 255-pound power clean. Take that together with his heft (5’11,” 230) and brain (3.2 GPA) and the package makes for quite the impressive high school football player.

Murray, KY: Earl Tupper is among my favorite inventors. He formerly worked for DuPont.
Tupper is a guy of whom you may have never heard. However, we are willing to bet anything you like you have heard of his invention, “Tupperware.”
Tupper’s supervisor at DuPont gave him some polyethylene slag, a waste product of the oil refining process, to purify and mold; creating lightweight, non-breakable containers. This stuff was branded as “Tupperware.” Tupperware came in cups, bowls, plates, and even gas masks used in World War II.
Tupper later designed liquid-proof, airtight lids. The lids were inspired by the secure seal of paint cans. They called them “burping seals” and they were patented in 1949.
Tupper purchased pellets from DuPont and began building products by 1938. It would become a household word throughout the world.
The products were sold during “parties.” The party plan marketing push enabled women of the 50s to earn money while remaining focused on their domestic “responsibilities.” You would have to just know the 50s to understand why women were so concerned with the “domestic domain.”
Now we don’t have the foggiest whether or not Earl Tupper is related to our Brayden Tupper. “Tupper” is an unusual and unique surname.
We can tell you Brayden Tupper has attacked this offseason with the apparent idea he can slap an airtight “burping” seal on the RB/LB posts. You know, he may be on to something.

Friday Night Fletch
Tupper (Brayden not Earl) is a 5’11,” 230-pounder who had a pretty productive ’24 for a guy who only got five (5) games of varsity run. Tupper carried the football a few times (3). On defense, his numbers were tremendously more impressive.
Tupper registered 20-tackles, three (3)-TFLs, a QB-sack, and forced a fumble (FF). For the limited amount of snaps, that is some fine play.
Tupper has had a wonderful offseason. His deadlift is up to 535-pounds. Tupper’s bench pressing 290 and power cleaning 255. Among his more impressive numbers is that 3.2-GPA.
Tupper plays linebacker/running back primarily which should give you an idea about his movement, agility, and speed. Calloway likes him along the defensive front as well so we are talking about a defensive lineman who can apply quite a bit of pressure to opposing offensive linemen with his strength, power, explosion, and speed.
We are looking forward to seeing what Tupper does this coming Fall. Who knows, he may rebrand the entire concept of “Tupperware.” He may end up wearing quite a few offensive backfield pieces as the year rolls along.
Try to escape that airtight seal.
