We think about all the really great middle school signal callers we have before covered. How many of them performed well in HS? We can’t think of a single “miss.” There are dozens and dozens of examples here. Well, we think this kid, Cameron O’Hara from Boone County, Kentucky, is a #NoDoubter. He’s getting ready for the KYMSFA’s “Battle of the Regions” and we believe he will “bring it.” Enjoy this look at a ’26 those of you covering Kentucky football should definitely write down in your notebooks. HB.

Another break-out guy for the coming @KyHighFootball season? How about @whawkins_OL (Wyatt Hawkins) from @BourbonFootball! @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank

There are players whose “break-out” years are easier to predict than others. Kids framed out like Wyatt Hawkins; well, his “breaking-out” this coming Fall isn’t too hard to predict. Hawkins is a transfer into Bourbon County from Class 5A powerhouse Frederick Douglass in Lexington, Kentucky. He’s a kid making the […]

@claygames7 from @EHSAthletics20 and headed to @kwc_football is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week. @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

There are pick-ups which are solid base-hits and then there are home runs. In our opinion, when K-Dub secured this player as it’s “QB of the future” the Panthers had hit a round tripper. Starring for the Panthers will prove nothing new for Clay Games as that is exactly what he has done in high school at Elizabethtown High. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Looking for an emerging star next Fall? Let us introduce you to @Nate_Siegrist from the @FBall_Crusaders. @Minguabeefjerky @KyHighFootball @PrepSpin @1776Bank

We are beginning to evaluate players for the upcoming Fall/2021. As we do this, like every year prior, we see kids who look poised to us to have “break-out seasons.” We like pointing that out to our readers and then rubbing it in everyone’s faces when it comes to full fruition. We think around the magazine Siegrist is one of those break-out types. Enjoy the feature and see if you don’t agree with us. HB.

@Bird05T (Tristan Cook, Class of ’23) from @WoodfordFBall has all the tools. @Minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

If you like them long, lean, with plenty of frame length and room to thicken, we believe we have your man right here. Coach Johnson’s Yellow Jackets have a young right guard who has all the physical tools and who figures to mature into a real prospect as we go along. One this is for sure, having a coach like Dennis Johnson has to be a plus for any down-lineman. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Ben Dalton from @HCCols_Football, is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

There are some players with production so prodigious one has to wonder, “Why haven’t I heard of this guy?” Sometimes it is distance, sometimes it is poor coverage, sometimes one isn’t working hard enough to get out and learn who’s who via the immediate access to information we enjoy these days. With Ben Dalton, it is probably the hard luck he has experienced over his high school football career. He had a tremendous senior year and we are proud to recognize him today. Join us again next week as we recognize another outstanding player. HB.

If you can truly watch this kid’s film and walk up and stand toe to toe with him and think this kid is only an 8th-grader, then I just don’t know what to say. Kids coming out of middle school these days are looking like this more and more. Hate to pull an “in my day” but, in my day, we didn’t have kids in 8th grade this solid, this long, this athletic, this aggressive. We just didn’t. They have put out a ton of college talent around the Corbin program. Mark this one down as another one on the near horizon. There will be plenty of ink spilled on this kid. Among the statewide coverage, we were first. HB.
