We featured and awarded this award to the Sokolowski brothers a few weeks ago but mentioned this particular player in that article. Well Olive’s play has continued to be stellar. This week, this award is all his. Congratulations to Kanoa Olive from Murray High and join us next week as we give this to another worthy recipient.

We aren’t going to lie to you. We prefer not to give this award to QBs all the time and we are really hesitant to award it to “past winners.” We strive to spread it around as there are so many weekly worthy players. However, sometimes a former winner, and even a QB, render a performance impossible to ignore. This week, Cameron Hergott, who has put up ridiculous numbers all season, had another performance we just couldn’t ignore. So, the EKU commit wins it again. His name is Montavin Quisenberry and around KPGFootball he is just called “Q.” We believe he may be the best freshman football player in all of Kentucky particularly among the skills. Clancy is a guy tailor-made for this particular award. He is gritty, tough, and a winner. Sounds like a bank we know. Anyway, Owensboro Catholic played a gauntlet of an opening five (5) games but they seem to have righted the ship just in time for the games which really matter. We believe they will slide into the playoffs hotter than blue-blazes. Players like Clancy number among the reasons why. HB.

Isaiah Fitzpatrick is among the best RBs in Kentucky ’22 class. There are high school programs in Kentucky where he would be a D-1 guy. We still think he is a D-1 guy and some team below D-1 is going to wind up with a All-conference/All-American type at its level of play. Lucky them. Enjoy the feature. HB.
