Anias MItchell, from Browning Springs Middle School is this week’s Independence Bank, Revolutionary Player of the Week

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Browning Springs MS

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded the Bears’ and the Hopkins County community’s expectations. We are focusing on the class of 2024’s Anias Mitchell from Browning Springs Middle School located in Madisonville, Kentucky, right down the road from the Independence Bank branches located on 1776 North Main Street and 629 East Center Street both in Madisonville, Kentucky.

We are celebrating the selection of the Kentucky Future Stars team. As such, we have been featuring players selected to play on Team Kentucky when the Team Kentucky Future Stars square off against its Tennessee counterparts in Clarksville, TN on June 15, 2019 at Fortera Stadium.

We wrote a story about a kid from Hopkinsville who tried out for the 7th grade team and didn’t make it. Instead of being melancholy about his omission, he kept his nose to the grindstone and made the team this year as an 8th grader. His name, Joshua Harris.

So Anias Mitchell tried out for the very prestigious Team Kentucky Future Stars and came up a smidge short in the eyes of the selection committee. He still was chosen as an “alternate” which really means he was good enough to play on the team it’s just they had more worthy candidates than available roster space.

Now Mitchell can be down about this happenstance or he can go to work on his skills, hone his ability, and keep his nose to the grindstone getting ready to show the committee their error next summer. Cheer up Mitchell, you play for Coach Tyrone Gregory at Browning Springs MS. He has steered many a young man to that roster in previous years and will get you there too, you just wait and see.

Until then, know this, you have been selected the Player of the Week by the fastest growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky. Heck, that’s one whale of an honor in its own right.

Congratulations to Anias Mitchell for his Revolutionary Play which has earned this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.

This is F.W. Long reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridiron reminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE!
