’26 DE/EDGE/Long-Snapper who sports a 3.3 GPA is a clear, next-level ‘take’

Dayton Kron is among the more versatile and talented players at the 6A level across the commonwealth of Kentucky. The extent to which he is being courted by prestigious colleges and programs certainly supports that position. Kron is 6’1,” 225-pounds and is a DE/EDGE guy who has been extremely effective at Kentucky’s largest classification of football competition. Kron, as a junior, played in 11-games, registered 37-tackles, five (5) TFLs, a pair of QB-sacks, and picked off an opponents pass (INT). In addition to all of that, Kron is getting some major attention for his ability to long-snap on top of everything else. Kron carries a 3.3 GPA which guarantees he will be eligible as soon as he walks on whichever campus is lucky enough to land him.

Big Ass Fans from Lexington, Kentucky has a simple corporate goal. The company is “creating a more comfortable world,” one fan at a time.

The logo is the rear of a donkey (Fanny) swishing its tail back and forth. The trademarked logo is among Kentucky’s more celebrated and well known corporate identities across the commonwealth and has come to represent commitment to quality, cutting-edge innovation, and product reliability.

Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product. Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator…and, these days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?

Friday Night Fletch, “KPGFootball”

Mt Washington, KY: “We all have a role to play on a championship caliber football team and those roles are equally important and vital to the team’s and program’s success.” Do you know who told me that? No less than Andy Frye from Centre Football.

For those of you who live under a rock, the stadium at Centre College is named for Frye; Frye is Centre’s all-time, winningest football coach (180-wins); is ranked in the top-20, active head college football coaches in wins in the NCAA regardless of level; and is coming off a Southern Athletic Association conference, co-championship and a second round, narrow defeat in the NCAA championships to a tough Carnegie-Mellon squad in Pittsburgh.

In other words, this guy would certainly know about what he is talking in regard to football. You can take this bit of advice to the freaking bank.

Now Coach Frye wasn’t talking about Buillitt East’s Dayton Kron. However, he well could have been. It fits Kron to a tee.

Kron is 6’1,” 225-pounds and plays DE for the 6A Chargers. Kron sets the EDGE. Kron rushes the passer. Kron is responsible for turning plays back into the pursuit.

No offense in its right mind is going to run it at Kron. This means the guy on the other side is likely to make quite a few tackles.

Kron didn’t fair poorly over his junior year. Kron registered 37-tackles, five (5)-TFLs, two (2)-sacks, and an INT. On top of this, Kron is a long-snapper and getting tons of interest in his fulfilling that role on the college level in addition to his playing defense.

Colleges are always looking for versatility and “bang for its buck.” If a DePauw, Hanover, Centre, or Hampton-Syndney can pick up an edge-defender who can snap for punts and/or place-kicks and get this all for a single roster spot; then, more power to them.

Kron is a guy coming into his senior year who finds himself in high demand. His 3.3-GPA has done nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of his suitors.

This guy puts the Student in Student-Athlete. This will put his butt in a prestigious school playing college football.
