@zac10ckhart from @PikevilleHSFB is the @minguabeefjery “Protein-packed Performer of the Week.” @PrepSpin, @KyHighFootball, @1776Bank

Talk about your protein-packed performers, this 6-1, 180-pound WR for Pikeville High School (1A) had a night which broke two state records and came in 3rd in another statistical category. If a night like that doesn’t get you a T-shirt and some beef jerky, it is hard to imagine what one has to accomplish to win this award. Junior, Zack Lockhart had an incredible performance against Henry Clay(6A) and one we will likely never forget. Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient.

Lots of folks around @KyHighFootball are wondering how good is the #WestCarter team? @CoachDBark, @orreyperry19, and several other Comets would tell you very good (featured photo: Michael Boggs, Sports View America)!

West Carter is beginning to make quite a bit of noise around 2A’s 8th District. This team played Beechwood for a regional title a year ago and looked poised to make it, at least, that far again this coming season, pandemic permitting. We look at this team and some of its “star power” in this article. Enjoy, Comet fans! HB.

For those caught up on classification, @PikevilleHSFB (1A) travels to Lexington to play @HCHSDevilsFB (6A) Friday night. We pick the winner right here… @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

We have been telling you for years the enrollment of the high school has very little to do with how good of a football team it has in Kentucky. Well, tomorrow night, we suppose Pikeville High School (1A) will make the point for us when they travel to play Lexington’s Henry Clay High School (6A). This game won’t be close and it won’t be the team from Kentucky’s smallest classification feeling the effect of Friday night on Saturday morning. Enjoy

@RooDaKid25 (Anthony “Rooster” Woodard) stuffed the stat sheet on both sides for @LC_Cougars this past Friday night.

We first wrote about this prospect in an article entitled “Russellville Rolls when the Rooster Crows.” Yeah, we were really proud of the title. We thought it enormously clever. That article was published April 15, 2017. Here it is, 2020, coming up on 2021, and we are still writing about this same player; and yes, we are still calling him “Rooster Woodard.” He has rounded into the type prospect we believed he would be all along. Right again! Enjoy this
