There is a storm brewing in Richmond, Kentucky! Brady Hensley and Kenyatta Hardge are “Thunder and Lightening”

Folks around the Caudill Middle School football program refer to Kenyatta Hardge (FB, 2024) and Brady Hensley (RB, 2024) as “Thunder and Lightening.” While each one is worthy of his own feature, the two of them, like the natural occurring phenomena, are almost always encountered together. Where there is one, you will find the other.

Both players are already drawing interest from colleges though each of them is only entering the 8th grade. Brady has been invited and camped at Murray State University, from whom he has received his first recruiting letter, and has camped at Clemson and was guided on a private tour of the facilities by Clemson coaches. Kenyatta has drawn interest from UK.

Both players have played for Caudill Middle School since entering the 5th grade. Over that period of time, the middle school is 43-1 on the field, finishing State Runner-up in 2017 and winning the State Championship in 2018. In 2016, when the two were 5th graders, the team was 12-0 but neither of them participated in the playoffs that year owing to their ages.

Over the three year period Brady Hensley has totaled 117 rushing TDs in his 3 seasons, gaining 5,588 yards from scrimmage. Hardge has scored 104 rushing TDs and totaled 5,192 yards rushing over the same time frame.

Brady, 5-10 and weighing 163 pounds, runs the 40-yard dash in 4.79-seconds. Kenyatta, 5-11 and weighing 179 pounds, clips off his forties in 4.81 seconds.

In 2018’s KYMSFA State Championship Game, Brady ran for 251 yards from scrimmage and scored 3 rushing TDs. He was chosen the Offensive Player of the Game. Kenyatta was selected Defensive Player of the Game for his work on the other side of the football. Kenyatta was credited with 12 solo tackles.

We take seriously our responsibility to build a database enabling under-covered and under-publicized kids across the commonwealth of Kentucky to gain the attention needed to round into top-flight, college prospects. It is inconceivable football fans across Kentucky shouldn’t already know who these two are.

There is a serious storm brewing in Richmond, Kentucky and the ones appearing incapable of weathering it are Caudill’s opponents. If one is looking for an early favorite to win the KYMSFA’s Middle School State Football Championship in 2019, we believe betting on their being some serious storm clouds that day would be quite a safe wager.
