Tyrekus Garrett is someone we believe will see a break out junior year. Garrett who is slotted at both FB and MLB is a hit-machine in spite of being smaller than what many would expect for either position. The Yellow Jackets program, over its illustrious football history, has made a nice living out of getting big performances from smaller players at positions where you wouldn’t expect the player to be slotted.
Garrett, a class of 2021 prospect also competes on the Track & Field team at SHS. In 2019, he ran a fully-automated 11.86 second, 100-meter. That would correlate to a 40-yard dash time in the neighborhood of 4.8-4.9 but a 60-meter time would be a better barometer of this guy’s true 40 speed owing to his being approximately 5’5″ tall.
Regardless of his size, this guy brings it to every play with every fiber he can muster. He has all the makings of summoning quite a lot of noise in the high school football world in 2019 around the Robertson County area.
