The ‘Babin Twins’ are the @1776Bank ‘Revolutionary Players of the Week.’ @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @brandtbabin @BraedenBabin @centurions_fb

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on two players who have been among the commonwealth’s very best football players in the Class of 2021 since the two of them were playing for “Team Kentucky” in middle school. They are twin brothers and are each entitled to individual billing but find themselves featured together a lot of the time.

We’re doing it here because each one of them, individually, had a tremendous game this past Friday night. We couldn’t decide who was more entitled than the other to win this honor, singularly. So, we are going to honor them both, together.

We know it is utterly cliché. We are sorry, guys!

Christian Academy-Louisville (CAL) plays football in “The Derby City” which has many of the commonwealth’s most athletically gifted football prospects playing each and every Friday night on its football fields across the city. These two are no different, as far as being athletically gifted, than any of their Louisville brethren.

CAL is just five (5) minutes down the street from an Independence Bank located on 3901 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40207 in Saint Mathew’s Square. Go down and see our friends and let them show you what makes Independence Bank the fastest growing bank in the Kentucky financial services’ market.

Brandt principally figures to play running back in college though he plays defensively for the Centurions. Braeden is a splendid defensive player for CAL who also spends some time in the offensive backfield leading his brother through holes.

This past Friday night, the Centurions had a tough matchup with Bullitt Central on the road. The Class 3A Centurion squad was stepping up two classifications in playing the Cougars from Class 5A, District 3. CAL appears to be heating up as they have now won three straight including beating Bullitt Central 45-12 this past weekend.

The Babin Twins were terrific against the Cougars. Brandt Babin (2021) carried it 23-times for 191-yards with all three CAL rushing TDs. Defensively Brandt forced a fumble, had 5-tackles, 2 TFLs, and a QB-sack.

His twin brother, Braeden Babin (2021), was equally splendid but on defense. Braeden tallied 12-tackles with 4-TFLs and 3-QB sacks.

Both of these high school superstars fired on all pistons. Both of them contributed mightily to the team’s success this past Friday night. Both of them will have to really play at top-form for the Centurions to make much of a run in the upcoming KHSAA, Class 3A, football playoffs.

Congratulations to both Braeden and Brandt Babin for their Revolutionary Play which earned them both this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
