Connor Hodge and his brother, Cole, both just made our Small-School All-State Football team. We collaborated on this team with NewsRadio 840 WHAS out of Louisville. Hodge’s numbers were as sick as his brother’s and both the Hodges are headed to ECU in the AAC to play collegiately together. Maybe the Hodge brothers can replicate, in FBS, Division I, the same magic they performed together in the KHSAA’s 3A classification. This article is about a group of kids who are rising above, sit at 5-0 entering a game with CAL and having already beaten both South Warren and Taft High (OH). This article is even more particularly about German Traynor, a sophomore RB making a huge impact for this ball club when it is most needed. Enjoy the feature. FL.
Keshawn Newman is among the better ’26 players from around Kentucky playing RB/LB. He also got eight (8) games of run on the varsity at one of the harder places to break into the lineup early anywhere around the mountains. We expect big things from Newman, starting immediately in ’23. Enjoy the feature. FL

We believe Gunner McKinley is among the best edge defenders, down linemen, and even Tight-Ends playing football anywhere in Kentucky’s high-school version of the game today, at any level of play. It would be safe to assume we aren’t alone in this assessment. They are quite possibly the ‘feel good’ story thus far in the ’22 football season in the Kentucky High School game. They are also (in our magazine’s opinion) the best darn football team playing 3A right now in the commonwealth. Before you dismiss this opinion, let us make our case…HB
Gavin Copenhaver has committed himself to leading his centurions back to the very top of the 3A classification. Copenhaver is certainly doing his part to help the centurions scale that competitive mountain clear to the tip-top. Enjoy this feature about a senior RB/LB who appears capable of doing it all and who also seems assured of being on a ton of recruiting boards going forward.
