Cole Hodge has had a sensational career at Christian Academy-Louisville (CAL). He has been a star on the hardwood and the gridiron. The 6’2,” 190-pounder is going to Eastern Carolina to lead its program into college football glory. I get a feeling some in-state schools are going to regret letting this guy get out of Kentucky, mark our words. In the meantime, the Centurions look poised to win a title this year and the Hodge brothers (Cole and Conner) will play a huge part in it. He also got eight (8) games of run on the varsity at one of the harder places to break into the lineup early anywhere around the mountains. We are approaching round four (4) in the KHSAA playoffs. All of these teams left standing are very good. There are exactly no bad apples left in the barrel. It will be the “little things” which differentiate between winning and losing at this point. “Mighty Mayfield” has themselves the home field and a kicker in Lincoln Suiter who has before come through for the Cardinals in a “big game,” with the game on the line. If called upon, Friday night, will he come through once more? We shall see, but the Cardinals are confident. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Reed Jefferies from CAL is easy to overlook. After all, he is a diminutive 5’9″ and weighs a slightly built 150-pounds. Had to have been a surprise when he contributed as much as he did to both sides of the football for the Centurions a season ago, when he was a mere sophomore. We believe his best is still to come.
