We pick games in all six (6) classes This is something we do every year and have for as long as we have been on air. We pick winners, we predict scores, and Saturday across the commonwealth, on the Kentucky News Network, our guy, Friday Night Fletch, will go on air […]

Colleges are looking for QBs like Fox Coons and who could blame them? @coons_foxx, @WoodfordFBall, @PrepRedzone, @khsaafootball, @KyhighFootball, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom

Fox Coons comes into the ’26 season a “favorite” to challenge for “Mr. Football.” He is 6’5,” 240-pounds and is coming off a year where he threw for over 3,300-yards and 41-TDs. Coons clocked a 4.9-second, 40-yard dash at the Best of the Midwest college combine and registered 4.83-seconds on his “pro agility shuttle.” This kid is playing at the right program too. Coach Dennis Johnson has his team contending yearly for 5A supremacy and making deep, deep playoff runs each and every November/December. Is this coming season the season where the Yellow Jackets break through and walk off Kroger field with a 5A title. Trotting Fox Coons out to run the offense is a pretty good place from which to start. Enjoy this feature.

This guy here has to be an early favorite for the ’25 “Mr. Football” race. He’s good at races as a member of the Woodford County Track & Field team. We seem to cover him a ton; but then again, we do cover the studs and he is certainly that.

Andrew Nason from Wofo staking his early claim as being a ’25 ‘Mr. Football Candidate.’ @AndrewNason21 @WoodfordFBall @WofoNews @SFord_7 @4adenN @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLpreps

He is a transfer from 4A Hopkinsville High School. With the struggles Hoptown has experienced with QB play, and with the efficiency this young ’25 QB has displayed, don’t you imagine the transfer of this particular player to Woodford County is all the more painful? Enjoy this look at a player whose candidacy for the ’25 graduating class’s “Mr. Football” award is looking all the more legitimate, week after week. HB.

When you get to Kentucky 5A, that is certainly denoted as “Big Boy Football” within the commonwealth. For instance, players playing two-ways or “iron man football” at the 5A level or higher gets increasingly rare but you will still see it and usually those pulling it off are really special talents. Here is our best guess concerning how this classification shakes out this coming season. Enjoy! HB.

Some guys just look the part. Guys like @browncaleb29 from @WoodfordFBall for instance. @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

This guy didn’t get a ton of varsity action over his sophomore year but he did get some. By the end of the shortened season, he was looking more and more like a player the team would, one-day, rely on heavily. We think the time is now. He has put in the work and his frame and dimensions are perfect for where he projects capable of playing. Ladies and Gentlemen, we give you Caleb Brown! Enjoy the feature. HB.
